@raashaan @LouisvilleMBB Yes. It also works in the mid major level where there isn’t as good size, athleticism, and defense, where it’s easier to get open looks. The average cbb guard knocks down the 3 at a very good rate when no one’s around him. At P5 bball you get those looks significantly less.

@raashaan @LouisvilleMBB Gonzaga - 300th
UVA - 27th
Kansas - 254th
Purdue - 124th
Uofl is 2nd. The elite teams don’t rely on 3s. It’s a misconception that modern day, 3 point hoisting gets you to elite territory.
English

@raashaan @LouisvilleMBB You’re also missing this. Where each team ranks in terms of 3 point attempts per game
Duke - 96th
Arizona - 357th
Michigan - 74th
UCONN - 161st
Florida - 124th
Iowa St - 177th
Houston - 84th
Michigan State - 225th
Nebraska - 13th
Texas Tech - 21st
Illinois - 7th

CPI was 3% when he took office. It’s 2.4% now as of the last Jan report.

@dwhobrey502 @2b4y2 @UofLSheriff50 “Without zou down the stretch late we get blown out”
I mean what a sentence. You’re not wrong, it’s just sad.
English

Agree. Way too much offensive fire power on this team and UNC isn’t exactly lights out defensively.
Tyler G@tgrodrian
@UofLSheriff50 Going over 9 minutes without a basket from this team is an atrocity
English

@TheCardConnect Over analyzing. They’re good when the play mediocre to bad teams. They’re bad when they play teams better than them. That’s the analysis.
English

@JackGrossman97 @TheOnlySweeney @LachTalk Agreed Jack, one other item while we’re here:
Enough with the Isaac McKneely hate. Guy’s shooting basically 40% from 3 on 181 attempts. How many teams across the country would kill for that? You didn’t bring him in to be a defender. He’s a punching bag now, ate isn’t warranted.
English

@TheOnlySweeney @JackGrossman97 Yep. The comparison to last year is this.
This year - you have more Q1 wins (no one of note) and will end up with more losses. Has an 8 seed written all over it with another few losses
English

@swes96 @JackGrossman97 Even somewhat relying on bum Baylor tells you what you need to know
English

@JackGrossman97 Like @TheOnlySweeney mentioned on his show yesterday/day before, it’s all fake juice. Our average Q1 win is terrible/non-tourney team, and we’re 0-5 in Q1A games.
Do you think uofl gets a better, same, or worse seed than last years team? Still have to go @ UNC, Clem, and Miami
English

@StevenRummage Yeah but it’s ok to also say that after two years you may not have a coach who can’t coach at a high level. 1-8 in Q1A games in two years.
English

@CBB_Central @CurryHicksSage If UofL didn’t challenge it with Kenny Payne (which they should have), then no one has a good case…..even though everyone agrees that if you have back to back losing records in CBB, you should be fired for cause/neglect of the program.
English

Understand that this is largely posturing to get a decreased buyout, but I HATE that this is a trend now. You wrote the contract. If you don’t want him to work there anymore, pay him out. If you can’t afford to pay him out, you’re the one who should be fired, not the HC.

The Mercury has learned that Jerome Tang has been fired for cause following comments made after K-State's home loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday. The Wildcats are 1-11 in Big 12 play, which ties for the third-worst start to league play in school history. themercury.com/k_state_sports…

@EricBalchunas Just gotta accept as a tennis fan that the months of January and October aren’t for us. Rest of the year great.
English

@TheOnlySweeney Pryor not on injury report and gotten no run last two games. What do we make of that?
English

@LvilleSprtsLive He wasn’t great last season!!! He was great….relative to the previous season, not if you look at just the season he had last year. Beat one tournament team all year and blown out in R1. He had a fine year last year but let’s not parade it as great.
English

For as great as Kelsey was last season, he's been very underwhelming so far this year. Against every really good team the Cards have played, they've been outperformed by a wide margin. His refusal to make any schematic changes will only continue to frustrate the fanbase. This is nowhere near the standard of Louisville basketball.
English

@TheBestWager Sure but being top 25 is a moment at time, while routines team is after the year is done with all the data end. Have to wait longer for those results, but more accurate on how teams are.
