Calling him out because he harassed someone while completely ignoring the racial abuse that triggered his reaction is exactly why these situations keep happening. You cannot demand perfect behavior from someone who is being disrespected on a fundamental, personal level.
If Malik Stanley truly was the guy in the clip, then context matters. Being Black abroad, especially in places where people feel entitled to treat you like an oddity or a joke comes with a whole different layer of disrespect that many people will never understand. You don’t get to tone police someone who is defending their dignity.
And let us stop acting like he is some violent menace. Black people in general are not out there looking for trouble, most of the time they are reacting to it but people only notice the reaction, never the provocation.
Also, being a journeyman athlete who played for teams like the Munich Ravens has nothing to do with anything. Dragging his career into it is just a way to smear him instead of acknowledging the real issue: ra¢!sm and ra¢!al disrespect still happen and some of you only recognize that once you are the target.

A person who services a wind turbine or a “Wind Technician,” makes 20K a month. Once a month, he climbs to the top of each turbine and takes care of the sensors on top. It takes a half an hour on a small elevator to get to the top. Each technician wears harnesses for protection. The money involved in these turbines is insane.
