I post about racing a lot on here but I don’t really talk about my favorite drivers
Anyone who knows me in real life knows how big of a Kyle Busch fan I am
I’ve annoyed friends, teachers, coworkers and strangers talking about Kyle literally since I was 9 years old rooting for him back in 2003
I remember sitting on the floor in 2005 with my speedway magazine trying to figure out what he needed to do to gain another position in the points with my calculator
The connection? My middle name is Kyle… and to a 9 year old who needed a favorite driver, that was pretty cool
I learned about perseverance growing up through watching him come back from suspensions, injuries and idiotic mistakes
I learned about work ethic when he was the only one racing day in and day out each season
I learned about focusing on yourself no matter what any one thinks from his “Rowdy” attitude
I learned about never giving up when he won the championship in 2015 after breaking his legs and when he almost won with a destroyed race car in 2018 at Bristol
It’s actually funny, out of all the cup races I’ve ever been to I only got to see Kyle win a cup race once.
That race was the 2019 Championship race in Miami and emotions aside I will say that was without a doubt the best day of my life
I only met Kyle 3 times, but he was so kind everytime I got to talk to him
I’m going to miss rooting for him on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s
I know it doesn’t matter, but despite the struggles since 2019 I know Kyle still had more cup wins left in him and I know he would never have given up without getting at least 1 more
I’m just glad we got to enjoy it for 23 years
Thank you for everything @KyleBusch

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old. We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.

@SparkingFIRENC Man it’s not even the mindset or the money, I just go all out and give it my all. Granted I don’t make much and if I mess up people could die.
English

@swilkin15 I envy that mindset
I 100% only am at work for the money. If there isn’t fair compensation then I’m giving no effort
English

@AcdntlyRetired Just trying to have groceries and pay rent at this point lol

People over saving for retirement is not a problem at all.
The real problem is most people never save and invest at all!
Seb's FIRE Journey@SparkingFIRENC
How many people are going to over save for retirement simply because they never ran the numbers? How many more will over save because of fear?

@MiniRetireMatt Not currently. Stuck at 40, 7-3:30. Great hours, bad paycheck.
English

@swilkin15 Wow man. Thanks for sharing. Still working similar hours?
English

@SteveOnSpeed Is that a thing for sure, personally yeah I don’t make enough. There just isn’t jobs around here that pay. Average income around here is like $27k which is crazy.
English

@WittyEchoes Because there isn’t anyone coming to help. We got to figure that shit out

It has been 4 years and I still dwell on the financial mistakes I made in 2022
That is why it is so hard when I see all these posts from people who are picking stocks and clearly know almost nothing about the companies/industries they are investing in
I played that game for almost a decade... cost me a ton of money and more importantly literally YEARS of my time

If you're over 25 and you haven't started investing or making progress on your goals it is on you
It isn't an issue with the economy
It isn't an issue with the government
It isn't because of the pandemic
It isn't because of the family you grew up in
At some point you have to take ownership of your life, be an adult and go after your goals

@SteveOnSpeed I absolutely guarantee I would not be broke in a year or ever.

Little man had a seizure tonight because of a fever.
Getting discharged now. He has a virus that we have to monitor but other than that is perfectly fine now.
I’m not cut out for that I pray he never goes through that again. I would rather disarm 100 bombs by hand than see one of kids having a seizure again.
