Hamas Statement following the passing of the execution law: The Israeli Knesset's approval of the law executing Palestinian prisoners reflects an unprecedented level of criminality and a blatant disregard for all humanitarian and international laws and covenants. For the occupation, which has previously executed hundreds of prisoners under the weight of torture and medical neglect inside its prisons, is today seeking to provide legal cover for a crime that already exists, by legislating their direct execution, in an overt attempt to liquidate the issue of the prisoners. And in practice, the occupation has never hesitated to commit field executions, having executed tens of thousands of our people's civilians in the streets, homes, hospitals, and schools, without trial, with premeditation, and without even bothering to justify this terrorist behaviour.
