My wife had a tough conversation today with someone she’s known for years who shared a post villainizing Charlie Kirk. Her first instinct was to just unfriend and move on—but instead, she reached out. She explained how there isn’t much difference between Charlie’s family and ours. She asked: “What if it were my husband who was assassinated?” Would you celebrate my family’s pain and anguish? Of course, the answer was no. The post was deleted, and what followed was a good, productive dialogue. They learned about the real threats of violence towards our family, the swatting, and what it’s actually like to live in this political climate with a platform. I think more people should be willing to do this in their own circles. As Charlie says in this clip: “When people stop talking, we lose our humanity.” Now, some people are too far gone. They are consumed with hate and unable to have the conversation. Those people are toxic and should be cut off. But many others just need someone to reach out first. Maybe that’s how we start healing this nation. One conversation at a time. Just some food for thought.

This is one of my favorite clips from Charlie because you get to see just a sliver of how brilliant this man actually was.

Former professional MMA fighter Ben Askren says when he woke up after being in a coma for 45 days, he immediately decided to become a Christian after refusing for 15 years. Askren says he passed away four times while in the hospital for a double lung transplant. "I woke up and I [became] a Christian. I went with my wife to church for 15 years because that was part of the deal. I said, 'I'm not a Christian, but I'll support you.'" "And it was really weird. When I woke up, I'm like, 'I gotta do it.'" Amazing.

Hulk Hogan on his faith in Jesus: "I just surrendered. I said I can't do it anymore. I went back to the Bible and started reading again. I'm either all the way in or all the way out with whatever I do. If I'm with my Lord and Savior, I'm all the way in."🙏🥹

This was a pretty great follow up from Scottie on his presser early in the week.
