@ABRACKENBURY @R4TheVerb @IMcMillan I’ve recently found my great grandfather’s Lincolnshire apprenticeship document. Beautiful handwriting on vellum. What on Earth does one do with such a thing? It’s almost certainly never left Lincolnshire for over 150 years and I’m the one who puts it in the bin?

Here is my great-grandfather's prize certificate for 'plashing' - Lincolnshire's word for hedge-laying! John Barnes won 5 shillings in 1905. I will be celebrating him on @R4TheVerb @IMcMillan on Sunday 1 June, 5.10 p.m, in 2025! Link in comment..
