My 12yo son started a gaming YouTube channel a few months ago It completely blew up, and reached 2 million followers "Dad, I make €10k a month from ads now" he told me yesterday When I heard this, I almost had a heart attack No media or journalism license, this was illegal on so many levels I waited until he went to sleep, then used his fingerprint to unlock his phone I deleted all his accounts and wiped all videos Today when he found out, he nearly collapsed "Heinrich, I had to do it. In Germany we don’t allow children to operate unlicensed media enterprises" I said He cried, but deep down I know he’ll thank me one day A child making that kind of money with no degree, no media training, no certification? Absolute madness I sleep better now knowing I protected his future

Why should Europe be more wealthy then a Vietnam, china or India in the 21st century? What value does it offer the world. For example I think Australia should ideally remain quite wealthy due to our enormous natural resource reserves. Germany was like the last bastion of Europe providing value in engineering but isn’t their auto industry kind of collapsing. If you look at China it’s the manufacturing powerhouse of the world, with Vietnam taking over the low complexity stuff. India provides global IT, literally every tech company is currently culling their own staff, blaming it on AI and then outsourcing to India. Even Mexico should be richer than Europe in a few decades as they become the manufacturing powerhouse of North and South America.

Net migration has fallen 82%. I promised to restore control to our borders. My government is delivering. I know there’s more to do, we’re introducing a skills-based migration system that rewards contribution and ends our reliance on cheap overseas workers.

Jeff Bezos explains to @AOC how billionaires are created: providing at least a billion dollars in value to society -- the opposite of exploitation. Bezos: "Let me give you a simple example. Let’s say you start a burger joint, and you have 10 employees, and you make a little bit of money.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “Until you have — this is — this just one — one outlet. And by the way, these are the most delicious burgers in the world. People love your burgers, Andrew. And so then, you open a second outlet —” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “— and now you’re making a little bit more money, and you have 20 employees. Nd you open a third outlet. By the time you’ve opened a thousand outlets, you are a billionaire.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And by the way, this is a real life story, it happens all the time, it’s In-N-Out Burger, it’s Raising Cane’s Chicken. At what point did that money all of a sudden become unethical, or it didn’t? There was one outlet, and then there were two, and then there were three. What you’re doing — the way — the way you make a billion dollars, or a hundred million dollars, or 10 million dollars, or anything, is you create a service that people love. And if millions of people choose your service, you’re going to end up with a billion dollars.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And you can, you know, just try it with a chicken franchise.” SORKIN: “Do you think though —” Bezos: “But your chicken has to be good.”

I've spent the last 24 hours on the phone with some of the people driving tokenization in Europe. Everyone sees the SEC move coming. Nobody agrees on what to do about it. Some people at the European Commission get it - they understand what's happening and why it matters. But the divergences between member states are too deep, and honestly, this isn't being treated as a priority. The result: Europe has everything it needs to move. The infrastructure, the players, the ambition. But everyone is waiting for someone else to go first. A source close to ESMA put it better than I could: "The SEC has shifted into a completely different gear - they want to move fast on tokenization, especially equities. Europe wants the same, but we have a fundamental problem: a share doesn't have the same legal nature in France, Germany, and Italy. You can't regulate the tokenization of equities if you can't agree on what an equity is." That's where we are.
Raphaël Bloch 🐳@Raph_Bloch

The SEC is preparing an "innovation exemption" that could allow tokenized stocks to trade directly on decentralized platforms. If confirmed: digital securities, tradeable on-chain, no legacy plumbing. When the US rewires its market infrastructure, every financial market follows. London, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo - nobody sits this one out. Europe has been building this quietly for two years. The rails exist. The players are ready. On June 2 in Paris - during @proofoftalk - I'm bringing together the people actually doing it. @tradeon21x, @OndoFinance & @FTI_US + others. 2 hours. Full networking. Full business. $ETH people simply don’t understand yet and they will. The entire system is moving onchain, it’s happening everywhere and whether we like it or not institutional interest / accumulation is at ATH’s. Oh and if you want Ethereum to truly become a multi trillion dollar asset you’re going to need help from the big boys.
Mitchell Martan@MitchMartan98

Genuinely think the most asymmetric opportunity that could yield the highest return over the next 5 years is $ETH The best part? About 99% of investors have given up on it, $BMNR and any other ethereum related equity.

The US bond market is breaking. When it breaks completely the Fed has one move left: print. They did it in 2008. They did it in 2020. This time the debt is three times larger and the world is watching. The print that’s coming will be the biggest in history. Position accordingly.
