I think people are not focusing enough on the authenticity that led to Mandani's victory. I can't be the only one done with voting for liars. I have a wide range of people that I would vote for politically if I feel they are genuine and honest.

I strongly believe in the need to build more housing in all neighborhoods, but a height of 600 feet (60 stories) is obviously out of scale for the Meatpacking District. I have asked the city to pause releasing this RFP and instead issue one with a more appropriate height.

How is someone supposed to open a new business and do it legally when you are competing against a system of people cheating? It's crazy to me how progressive this city can claim to be and yet also be so dysfunctional that it can't stick up for anyone.

I have been told by an owner of a bar in Williamsburg that everyone at his bar makes "shift pay" of $40 cash and then takes home the tips. How common is this and how do we stop it? He told me that almost every bar in the neighborhood does it. Tipping has broken so many things.

I sense that people are undervaluing the younger people in politics and overvaluing the older people. I think Trump is overvalued in his ability to win, but I wouldn't underestimate Harris or Vance. It's a good sign for democracy when we have younger people in positions of power.
