Gooooooooood evening! It's Friday Night In The Big Town and snow is developing west of Kansas City. The kids have to be getting excited as the anticipation of the first snowflake builds. Here is the latest data from the models that the meteorologists are looking at. I am not sure if they are looking at the amount of liquid that the models are predicting? We are expecting a 15:1 ratio or a dry, fluffy snow, where 15" of snow would equal 1" of rain. It is usually a 10:1 ratio. So, this means that the models shown here are forecasting 2.3" low to 6.9" high across the Kansas City metro area. I am heading off to bowling and will check in later! #Snow

Seen this kind of question floating around, even had some folks text about it. Here’s what I’ll say (for whatever it’s worth): I don’t look at this as a promotion or a demotion for Braet. I think it’s as simple as finally giving him the appropriate title for what he’s best at and what he’s largely been doing for the last year or more. As it was previously and as it will likely continue to be, Braet is always going to be involved in K-State recruiting. He just may not be the point man he once was, instead serving more as the face of the process and hosts of hosts. I view this role as him being like the local liaison so to speak for prospects and coaches to initially converse with and then he can funnel that information to the staff. These *new* responsibilities are right up his wheelhouse and better allow for him to have a shot at something he’s never/rarely had in MHK: Downtime. In theory, he doesn’t have to be tethered to his cell (as much) now and won’t have to directly deal with many of the stressors and drama that come with the NIL+Portal era. It’s much less pressure when it comes to player acquisition while still being a heavily involved player in that process — not to mention keeping a temperature gauge on the current roster, a piece of the puzzle he’s always done maybe even without realizing. Super happy for Braet and his family that he’s aboard for more. Change the title all they want, but his energy+passion remains in the building. That’s what matters most, specifically when it comes to our local talent! 🌻💜
