@davidrothsays @Polymarket Three states have packed their supreme courts in the last decade and all of them created conservative majorities.

@ScamNetwon @cleffee @jonkentcomrade The American people are disgusted by overly-polished political consultant speak designed in a lab to offend no one. She needed to campaign on popular policy like Medicare for All, strengthening social security, or trust busting. Not convoluted tax rebates and being not Trump

@tanny__phantom @cleffee @jonkentcomrade If her losing could be considered the fault of anyone, it’s Joe Biden obviously. And you can build a better case for 2028 without acting like she’s a bad candidate and everything is her fault. It would be a lot more honest to do so actually

@rowanfornow No it’s because he is campaigning on extremely popular progressive economic policies that are more popular among republicans than you think. Half of republicans support M4A. Politicians like Harris are too paid-for and over-consulted to do anything at all, and Americans know that

@ScamNetwon @cleffee @jonkentcomrade So why did she lose then? Did she have no control over her campaign? Is she helpless and powerless? Why is she immune from criticism? Why can’t we make a better game plan for next time? Are we supposed to just move on say “oh well” rather than build a better case for ‘28?

@ScamNetwon @cleffee @jonkentcomrade I don’t owe her anything though? Her job was to win the election and she failed. I believe she made a series of bad moves to appeal to monied interests and severely misread the electorate. She let me down by losing the election. Why can’t I theorize on how to avoid this again?

Kamala was given an impossible task to save Democrats from a complete wipeout across the board, a 2 year task she had 3 months to complete. She helped save numerous seats in Congress and only lost by less than a percentage point. She didn’t let you down and she didn’t drop any ball. Tf

@ScamNetwon @cleffee @jonkentcomrade The whole point of talking about this is to make sure it never happens again. I believe that presenting rigorous progressive economic policy is the way to win centrists, not to dilute your socially progressive stances to concede to the right. They think you’re a commie anyway

@ScamNetwon @cleffee @jonkentcomrade And for what it’s worth, I voted for her and actively supported her candidacy monetarily and with my time as a volunteer. This does not mean I cannot criticize how she dropped the ball and got us into this situation. She let me down in a huge way.

I’ve been following Charli’s career for 13 years, and something I’ve always loved about her, is that everything she does is a risk. She makes things because they’re interesting, or fun or because she likes them. She doesn’t chase her own success. She doesn’t replicate past works. She just does whatever the hell she wants, and I respect it. She’s one of the only mainstream pop artists doing anything worthwhile right now.

@cleffee @jonkentcomrade Is prosecuting cartels and human smugglers bad now? Does chaos with no form of order to serve anybody on the border, including the immigrant? You have to realize how retarded you sound to normal people, right?

Axelrod: There are a lot of people who would like you to run for president in 2028. And there are others who would like you to run for the senate. AOC: In this op-ed that Bezos paid for in The Washington Post, there was a veiled threat—it was the elite saying if you want this job, you just stepped out of line. What’s funny about that is they assume my ambition is positional. They assume my ambition is a title or a seat. My ambition is way bigger than that. My ambition is to change this country. Presidents come and go, elected officials come and go, single payer healthcare is forever.

@DavidQ2085 @RobProvince @Jesse_T_White @tylerhenson I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of the person I was replying to. He was implying that evenly distributed minority-party voters ought to have the same electoral impact as geographically compact minority-party voters. See @Jesse_T_White ‘s response above that.

@PanasonicDX4500 There needs to be a reason to sound alarm bells. If the medical community screamed bloody murder every time there was any risk, we’d never take them seriously when it ended up being fine.

The only semi-interesting part of this hantavirus discussion is finding out a huge percentage of people have just invented an alternative history where COVID either came out of nowhere or that the medical community actively tried to downplay and dismiss it.
