Anyone who followed the redistricting process knows that @sarasadhwani is a gerrymandering master who tried her best to rig the map in favor of Dems. If it’s just her, @CAGOP would be lucky to get more than 2 seats lol
Redistricting Partners@udrawthelines

🚨 CA Redistricting Commissioner @sarasadhwani - one of the strongest and most effective members of the CRC - tells @LATSeema she supports temporarily setting aside CRC maps and allowing @GavinNewsom and legislature to redraw districts in response to TX. latimes.com/politics/story…

@OCGOP Also her last minute proposal to add some deep blue SD cities into #ca49 definitely saved Levin and keep the seat blue

She tried her best to eliminate @OCGOP in Congress. Her infamous proposals includes of a Downtown LA to Little Saigon district, and a Long Beach to Newport Beach district.

Interesting data point in this piece about California hemorrhaging Congressional seats--within the state, the more Democratic the district, the more people leaving. sfchronicle.com/politics/artic…

CA's government continues finding innovative ways to increase the price of gas: • Low Carbon Fuel Standard regulations • Cap-and-trade reauthorization • Loss of 20% of state refinery capacity A Select Committee on Bad Luck is needed to find out why this keeps happening.

If the commission’s intention was to create an R-sink senate district as horridly shaped as possible spanning 4 counties (from Yorba Linda to northeastern San Diego Co,), they might as well should’ve added Diamond Bar to make it span 5 counties. #SD32

The California state legislature wants to lower the math standards required for admission to the University of California below what UC faculty say should be required. I wonder why.
Jelani Nelson@minilek

Legislator @AsmLaShae bravely stands up to her committee to say the obvious: K-12 should should prepare college-bound kids for college. Alas, her voice of reason fell on deaf ears. AB 1217 strips UC/CSU from controlling college admission reqs, and to take orders from K-12. 1/

The California Assembly Majority Leader has sponsored new legislation (AB7) to once again try to amend our state constitution and allow the University of California to prefer applicants based on their ancestry rather than academic ability. We should keep discrimination illegal.
Equal Rights for All (Official Account)@erfapac

They will never stop attacking #Prop209 will they? A new bill was introduced to add exceptions of the equal rights protection clause on CA constitution: legiscan.com/CA/text/AB7/id… This bill would make "descendants of slavery" exceptions to the non-discrimination statements in Prop 209. Animal farm in reality! #NoAB7

@cerulean626_ This is impressive but also concerning, CAGOP is seriously short of money. With enough resources, more seats in the Central Valley and SoCal could be in play.

No doubt Asians shifted right …BUT in NY, Asian districts re-electeds Dems to state legislature who support dangerous policies like bail reform. @tobystavisky @nily @rontkim One seat flipped, breaking state senate supermajority. @SteveChanForNY 👏👏👏 ➡️ More work to do.

Asian American voters shifted right…by A LOT National exit polls underestimated the rightward shifts of AA in major urban areas. WaPo, NBC found a shift under 10 pts My analysis of Asian-majority precincts show shifts of 15-30 pts Why the shift? AA voters explain⬇️

Josh Shapiro is frequently hailed as the moderate who can save the Democratic Party. But in the most recent test of leadership--Pennsylvania election officials willfully violating the law in an effort to help Sen. Bob Casey--he only spoke up, in a weak statement, after the issue had been resolved. wsj.com/opinion/josh-s… via @WSJopinion

Funny, then why did you vote against my bill to lift the cap on SALT this Congress? Oh, I know, because you and every single New York Democrat would rather screw your constituents than to give New York Republicans a “win”. The cap on SALT will be lifted next year because of the work I and my Republican colleagues from New York, New Jersey, and California have done. But thanks for reminding everyone that you voted against lifting the cap on SALT and support congestion pricing.

Only Asian R can take Min out in the foreseeable future. CA47 is drawn in a way that no matter how red NB or HB is, blue Irvine can make it up for D candidates. #SD37 is bluer, but Choi is winning by outperforming in Irvine. Baugh is even running behind Trump in Irvine obviously
Rob Pyers@rpyers

The #CA47 topline results after this last update: POTUS: 🟦+2.44% (Harris 49.70%, Trump 47.26%) CASEN: 🟥+2.06% (Garvey 51.03%, Schiff 48.97%) CA47: 🟦+0.90% (Min 50.45%, Baugh 49.55%)
