. OMFG! LIES. We are being lied to. Remember the sob story about the family with the baby getting tear gassed at the north Minneapolis riot last Wednesday, Jan. 14? They said they were just passing through the area on the way home from their son's basketball game. NO! Here they are on video at the riot NEARLY 45 MINUTES before the flash bang struck their car. These still images are from loser Jonathan Mason's video that night at about 8:30-8:45 p.m. The tear gas call with the baby was dispatched at 9:22 p.m. THEY LEFT THEIR EFFING KIDS IN THE CAR AT A RIOT and the baby nearly died.

I suspect many of the people who would qualify for the enhanced credits don’t need them - in which case the Government should reduce the deficit.

Look, I think Trump's position on Ukraine is immoral, unwise, and dishonorable. But people can disagree. But I do have a question: If Trump's position on Ukraine aid is so solid, why does he feel the need to lie about how we gave them $350 billion. Before you defend the lie, note that he's never provided any evidence to support the lie. And if there was evidence, he'd obviously provide it. So if you think it's true, provide some evidence or concede that it's a lie -- which it obviously is. And, so, if it's a lie, ask yourself why he needs to lie to support his position? Maybe it's because his argument is weak or, even more likely, his argument is being made in bad faith entirely.

@ColbyBadhwar I think most agree S Vietnam falling was not the advertised disaster. Japan and S Korea did not fall. Russia may already be deterred as they were after 1939 war with Finland. And we have yet to see future Western deterrence in the event of a peace agreement.

Posts like this are very convincing to the ignorant, but in reality there is no contradiction between Russia being a threat to Europe and also being in very bad shape. North Vietnam was near collapse but Nixon threw in the towel first. 3 years later they took the South because the US didn't deliver the promised military aid. If a bad deal is forced on Ukraine, Russia will reconstitute and then re-invade. Kyiv will just be the first of many dominoes to fall.

@McFaul @general_ben President Clinton knew not to allow for this possibility in 1994 Budapest Memorandum, Obama knew we couldn’t do this in 2014, Biden knew we couldn’t do it and Trump is right that this would risk WW3. Why hold Trump to a higher standard than these other Presidents?

Trump, Vance & others either have forgotten or never knew that Zelensky signed a ceasefire agreement with Putin in 2019. Three years later, Putin launched his full-scale invasion. So, signing another ceasefire with no security guarantees feels like suicide for Ukrainians.

@davidaxelrod Personally, I wish our country would give Ukraine more weapons to see if they can defeat Russia, but I understood my fellow Americans did not agree with me. You may not like it, but Trump is pursuing the will of the American voters.

@davidaxelrod I think you are dishonest. Zelensky was demanding US peacekeepers for the cease fire. Any honest person knows Trump and the Americans that voted for him will not send American soldiers to Ukraine. Trumps diplomats would have told this to Ukraine. Zelensky miscalculated badly.

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office. Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy. Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with Putin, the invader whose aim has been to conquer Ukraine. Zelensky should know that millions and millions of Americans still stand with him and his valiant people.

@RealJakeBroe I think Trump is speaking to the Russian people - I don’t hate you or Putin. I think you need peace to save your soldiers. I think he is trying to make it easier to give land back to Ukraine. The last thing Russians want is American troops so close. No American peacekeepers.

@RealJakeBroe Keep fighting and dying. Russia is about to collapse. Nazi Germany did not collapse and surrender even when there was fighting in Berlin. Russia’s collapse may not be near. If Trump can get a deal, Ukraine can decide whether to accept.

President Zelensky will travel to the USA on Friday to meet with Trump and sign a mineral rights deal that benefits both Ukraine and the US. All of the initial problems Ukraine had with the mineral deal were resolved and now Ukraine finds the agreement acceptable to them. @RealJakeBroe Trump was in my opinion negotiating and we have to wait to see the actual deal to assess his intent. Perhaps a royalty interest for America might work. Maybe requirement for American Drillers to be joint owners with a royalty interest for the USA.
