I met the Claim co-founders, Sam and Tap, in 2021. At the time, they were working on a crypto project. I didn't love the idea, but I loved them as founders (they've been best friends for over 10+ years). Over the next couple months, we chatted many times as their idea evolved into what @claim is today. Susa led the pre-seed and we set off to build a better way to discover brands.
Today, Claim is on over 70 campuses across the US and growing 50%+ every month. Brands like Sweetgreen and Blank Street Coffee are using claim to reach new customers.
I'm thrilled to welcome VMG alongside Susa and Sequoia. As we evaluated term sheets for the Series A, VMG sent a list of brands they know well -- it included 100s of top retail and CPG brands. They are the perfect partner to help Claim scale the brand side of our business.
