Dear fellow Bangladeshi Hamza Choudhury supporters, stop attacking Portsmouth’s social media pages right now. They’re looking at all this and thinking you’re all just jokers. I’m a big supporter of Hamza too, but this online attack on Pompey’s social media is being massively over-exaggerated and is only hurting our image. Football culture in the UK is very different from Bangladesh. Banter and abuse when an opposition player is subbed off is unfortunately normal in English Championship football, specially at grounds like Fratton park it’s part of the atmosphere. Hamza himself hasn’t come out and said it was racial abuse, and many Pompey fans are clear that the comments were just typical heated stick, not racism. Turning this into a social media war isn’t helping Hamza at all.
