Pattinson's Batman is an actual detective, actually has a no kill rule that he strictly adheres to. Is moody, broody, gothic, and is actually capable of comforting civilians and children. That sounds a lot like Batman to me

This is only somewhat true, but the Batman takes more liberties with Batman’s characterization and mythos than something like Batman begins for example. So I wouldn’t say it’s the benchmark of revealing who reads Batman comics.

2. This is basic suspension of disbelief, a character surviving something would kill a human because they have armour on.
