I cannot fathom how that AFL see more value in this Opening Round bollocks over having full fixtures of games. 1 full round in the first 5 weeks is an absolute joke and gives the season no momentum. Absolutely hate it, doesn’t even feel like the season has properly commenced

@FOXFOOTY The entitlement here is quite something, the bloke is let off despite any other player in the competition copping a suspension for it in the past, and he and his club are still complaining about it. Unbelievable

'ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS' 😡 Scott Pendlebury’s anger towards the AFL after his Tribunal hearing on Tuesday night has been revealed, despite avoiding his first-ever suspension due to exceptional and compelling circumstances. READ HERE >> bit.ly/3NuTbs6

@PeterOB24979769 @llbuono1426341 So what? That’s your take on the prospect of Australia men and women dying in a war we didn’t start nor had any information on it commencing? So what? If there is no risk, why isn’t the powerful US Navy patrolling the area?

@llbuono1426341 Who’s gonna sink ‘em? And, the whole idea of an armed force is we send it into harms way to protect our interests. So they risk being sunk. So what? It’s what has happened to naval ships since the beginning of time. And in this case the risk is minute.

Australia should send naval support to police the Strait of Hormuz. It’s the right thing to do. It’s no surprise that Labor, who never do anything to support the US, Israel or our own interests refuse to do so. If you vote for these Labor bastards, you are part of the problem.

@TipsySnakehipsy @liam_lightowler His job ultimately is to score, you don’t get a better opportunity than a penalty. He has missed quite a few good chances lately, but sure, his hold up game has been great I guess.

Given his impeccable tribunal record… I reckon Scott Pendlebury is allowed a mulligan with his 1-match suspension @CollingwoodFC @AFL

President Trump’s request that Australia grant asylum to five female Iranian soccer players was truly the right decision and shows a deep understanding of Iran as it currently exists. To our friends in Australia, thank you for granting the asylum request. Like President Trump, I hope there will soon be a day where new people will lead Iran, and young women can pursue their lives without fear. Well done @POTUS.
Fox News@FoxNews

‘WELCOME TO STAY’: Five Iranian women’s soccer players were granted asylum in Australia, leaving the rest of the squad to decide whether to return to a country still reeling from war. The development comes after the team refused to sing the Iranian anthem before one of their matches, drawing international attention. Australian Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said the offer remains open to the entire team: “I don't want to begin to imagine how difficult that decision is for each of the individual women. Last night it was joy, it was relief.”

@Inadvertantview @WillKingston The players were offered asylum, 7 players took up that offer while the rest decided to return home. Perhaps do some of your own research on a topic before commenting.

I am ashamed to be an Australian today. Looking at this picture I literally have tears in my eyes. These are young women… athletes… daughters… who showed incredible courage standing up to one of the most brutal regimes on earth. They refused to bow to the Iranian regime. They refused to sing the anthem of a government that terrorizes its own people ...especially its women. And what did the Australian government do? They let them go. They put them on a plane. They handed them back to the very regime that threatens their lives. Everyone in the world knows what happens to women who defy the Iranian regime. Prison. Torture. Disappearances. Sometimes worse. And yet our government still let them go. Looking at their faces breaks my heart. Brave young women who simply wanted dignity and freedom… now being sent back to a regime that treats women like property. The same people who scream about “women’s rights” every single day are suddenly silent. The same media that lectures everyone about morality has nothing to say. Absolutely disgraceful. Today I am ashamed to be Australian. History will remember this moment. History will remember who stayed silent while these brave girls were sent back to tyranny. #FreeIran #WomenLifeFreedom #StandWithIranianWomen #Shame #HumanRights #FreedomForIran #IranProtests #LetThemStay #StopTheRegime #NeverForget

BREAKING: Just hours after Trump told Oil Tankers to enter the Strait of Hormuz, regardless of Iran's threats, an oil tanker is reportedly targeted and decimated by Iran in the Persian Gulf, just past the Strait of Hormuz. Trump's horrific advice may have just gotten people killed.
