In honor of The Olympics, I visited Yale, OK (east of Stillwater) where Jim Thorpe (“The Greatest Athlete in the World”) lived from 1917-1923. It’s also home of the oldest homestead in Payne County. And Mugsy’s Grubhouse! Thorpe won the gold in heptathlon and decathlon in 1912.
