@McFlick5150 @CerealMidnight Frank Tarsi, who made Olive, is now behind Kino Lorber. In one of the recent video interviews he did, he said he'll continue to re-release as many of the films he did under Olive for KLSC as he can.

@CerealMidnight Wish some label would rerelease some of these. Now going oop, me as a new western fan having a hard time paying these prices. 😅

Though now defunct, Olive Films was very good to the Republic Pictures catalog. These are just a few of Olive’s Republic releases (many of which still have no other disc release), including all 8 of the Three Mesquiteers films John Wayne appeared in.

@jlalibs Woah. Yeah, if we can finally get OAR with the new transfer that would be insane. I'm kinda shocked this is skipping BD and heading straight to 4K.

If this is OAR and from new scans/masters of the 35mm negatives, it could be the surprise 4K release of the year but I’m not holding my breath on that

@Karendole82 @paramountplus Copyright reasons likely due to music in the episodes. Many older shows are incomplete on streaming due to that. Nothing Paramount can really do about it since they don't own the show.

@paramountplus Me again. Still Streaming Beverly Hills 90210. Each season is still missing episodes. Season 8 was missing 11 of 32. Unreal!

Update. I gave this movie a rewatch after thinking about it more. Now that I knew what to expect going in, I very much enjoyed it. Go watch Fascination by Jean Rollin (1979).

Not the biggest fan of this movie, but I also can't disagree with this choice.

@Spongillidae @BoundaryBreak Double Dash holds up really well, but is limited content-wise. DS is the only one with all of the single player missions and boss battles. It has twice the tracks, and the first time you could play Battle Mode with CPUs if you didn't have anyone to play with.

@BoundaryBreak After Double Dash and Wii it's the one I've played the most with friends. I still like Double Dash best, but it's also been forever since I've played it. Does it not hold up?

I can't believe every gamer on the planet agrees Mario Kart DS is the best one in the franchise. Like that never happens.

@JamesTheFilmGuy @KLStudioClassic A lot of times if they give no details on the new transfer in their announcement beyond "Brand new Transfer", there's a good chance it's at least a year out. When they make announcements and say "New transfer from x" or "new 2024 transfer" it's likely to come out sooner.

Then in the US Criterion, KL, Shout will use it. Idk how it works for does the studio own the restoration because it's their movie, the label because they did it, or both get cuts. May vary case to case.
