An upcoming TPUSA rally in Phoenix with President Trump appears to be part of a larger effort to collect voter data by a new non profit led by Amy Smith, who is married to a former state lawmaker and Turning Point staffer who forged petition signatures. kjzz.org/politics/2026-…

@Tjhawk07 let me be more clear about my question If we decide that public schools can't buy gaming consoles. And ESA parents can't use their ESA for gaming consoles. Should private schools be prohibited from using ESA tuition on gaming consoles?

@tcani Do you know public schools pay private schools with public funds, also? They have their own fancy billing code for it. You can find it all on the financials too. You may want to refresh on how public schools operate before judging.

ESA families are banned from using funds on video game consoles & accessories. Audits flag for this. Yet SUSD spent $14,040.80 on Best Buy gaming systems + $844.65 blanket PO- coded to IT/CTE Grants with taxpayer funds. Same public dollars. Different rules. Hypocrisy?

@Tjhawk07 And also a caveat here on ESA v district schools equal rules, because where you lose me is with things like rent and utilities. Schools need to pay for those, but I have a hard time thinking ESAs should go for rent or pay APS.

@Tjhawk07 I lean no gaming consoles for both. If someone donated them, sure. But w/ scarce resources nah. But i also dont know what they were used for. This notion of equal rules as a core principle to how we view spending, should that extend to private schools getting ESA money?

@Tjhawk07 We didn't have a pc at home, so my parents couldn't have taught me + I don't know their level of computer proficiency back then. Comps in the library only for research I could buy. W/ exceptions for those with different needs. But we've gotten off gaming consoles. Diff beast.

@tcani Parents can teach things too, you know! The computer shall only be used as a tool for research. They don’t do that anymore. It’s an all-in-one and isn’t beneficial to education. These students can’t write on paper, know how to spell without spellcheck or without AI assistance.

@Tjhawk07 That's a compelling argument. When the rush to put computers in schools was first happening as I was growing up, I always thought there were more pressing needs. Of course, without them I would never have learned how to type or use a computer. We didn't have a computer at home.

@tcani I do believe students shouldn’t be learning on computers and should go back to the good old days of writing their assignments on paper, like reading out of physical books. Being on screens constantly actively changes the brain with dissociation, especially young developing minds.

@Tjhawk07 Whoever is asked first must give the answer first? That is absolutely fair. But, I've got bad news. I asked you first. Scroll up and then do your part for discourse.

@Tjhawk07 So, from a health perspective, you think a ban on gaming console spending in district schools and with ESAs is the way to go. So we want the legislature to legislate that gaming consoles can not be a permitted expense?

@tcani Honestly, isn’t everyone complaining about how non active these students are these days, and because of that children are more obese starting younger. You know, their faces in video games and screens 24/7. So, what do you believe?

@Tjhawk07 Okay, so let's say I accept that it should be both or none at all. Now let's decide which one we pick. Should both be able to buy video game consoles or should neither be able to buy video game consoles? Which should we ask our legislators to propose?

@tcani Did the topic go over your head? We’re discussing hypocrisies. The public schools already allow said purchases and activities, but ESA participants are not afforded the same. Why? Either both or none at all, right? To make it equally fair with the same tax dollars.

@KKBathgate So if any of those expenditures were not permitted by the state’s handbook, you’d argue it was okay for the parent to break the law because the outcome was positive? Or that it’s bad to break the law but maybe we should change the law so restrictions go away?

The reporting on AZ ESAs this year is a head scratcher. Harris’ latest shows K- 12 kids getting educated for less than the per pupil amount, getting into great colleges, & using savings to start out with less debt. Sounds like a pretty good investment for kids & for taxpayers!

@Zonabob80 @CoffinItUp They didn’t gerrymander that district for her. They did for Leach. They only cared about getting his house in district.

@CoffinItUp Vail is in LD 17! Look at the legislative map. During the redistricting, the Democrats complained bitterly that Vail, Green Valley, and Corona de Tucson had nothing in common with Marana and Saddlebrooke.

OK, let me try it one more way: 1. On January 31, 2025, Rachel Keshel swears under penalty of perjury in her Financial Disclosure for District 17 that her "household" includes Seth Keshel and 2 minor children. 2. On April 3rd, 2025, Seth Keshel refinances his Vail, Arizona home in District 19 with a $444K VA principal residence mortgage. 12 months of principal residence occupancy is a condition of the mortgage. It can't be used as a rental. 3. On April 10th, 2025, Rachel Keshel files her statement of interest to run for the State Legislature in District 17. I'm not sure how much more of a prima facie case is required to demonstrate that Rachel Keshel does not live in District 17, and she certainly didn't live there at the time she filed the statement of interest. The only caveat I can make is if Seth Keshel is committing mortgage fraud (or just a dumbass who likes making mortgage payments for years on a home he doesn't reside in...). So, according to Arizona law A.R.S. § 16-311(A), Rachel is absolutely ineligible for the seat. In black and white. Case closed. Nothing to do with threats of arson or anything having to do with the Arizona Confidentiality Program, all of which would have taken place SUBSEQUENT TO RACHEL BREAKING THE LAW! Receipts included... These Keshel clowns can either counter these FACTS or they can stfu and scramble to make up some bullshit for the judge...

@JasonBedrick @ClarkRimsza My answer: No I dont think a wife having opinions is a conflict of interest. I know that the worldview at heritage isn't super open to spouses being their own people, but they are. I think you knew that account you RTed was posting pics of harris fam & pretended like you didn't

Craig, I’ll say it: we had no role in developing ADE’s numbers. And it’s very weird of you to raise this conspiracy theory at all, let alone to claim we “won’t say” if we were involved when you never even asked us. Plus: no one attacked your family! And debunking your lies is not an “attack” anyway. It’s insane how often Craig Harris comes up with new lies to smear the ESA program, ESA families, and school choice advocates. @12News should sanction him.
Corey A. DeAngelis, school choice evangelist@DeAngelisCorey

BREAKING: Fake news "journalist" says we "VORACIOUSLY ATTACKED" him and his family by calling out his lies about school choice in Arizona. He's lying again. He says we "are obsessed with trying to attack [him] all the time." He needs to retract his false claims.

Why this matters? School Choice opponents published a fake news report stating that fraud was 20%! Now we know there were simple mistakes—not fraud—for a few families new to the program.
Corey A. DeAngelis, school choice evangelist@DeAngelisCorey

Game over. Buried in a radio interview with KTAR, @CraigHarrisNews ADMITTED fraud in Arizona’s school choice program "is less than ONE PERCENT." It's time for 12News to retract their lies and correct the record.
