With deep respect and heavy hearts, we remember Walter LaSota, one of the last surviving Marines from the Battle of Okinawa, who passed away at the age of 99. In May 1945, during one of the fiercest battles of World War II, LaSota was fighting at Sugar Loaf Hill in Naha when a Japanese bomb exploded near the foxhole he shared with another Marine. The blast threw him down the hillside, leaving him wounded, unable to see or hear in the chaos. Disoriented and separated from his fellow Marine, he never learned what became of the man beside him a question that stayed with him for the rest of his life.
Despite the devastation around him, LaSota fought on and was wounded twice during the battle, earning two Purple Hearts for his bravery and sacrifice. For decades he carried the memories of Okinawa with quiet strength, representing a generation that endured unimaginable hardship in service to their country.
Today we honor not only a Marine and a survivor, but a witness to one of history's most brutal battles. Rest in peace, Marine - your courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🙏🇺🇸

🚨BREAKING UPDATE🚨: The Richardson Police Department has arrested two individuals in connection with the shooting that occurred on March 19 at a Waffle House in Richardson, Texas.
Two suspects, identified as 18-year-old Taylor Griffin of Anna, Texas, and 17-year-old Charles Webster of Anna, Texas, were taken into custody today, March 26, 2026. Both have been charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Investigators believe both individuals participated in the events leading up to and during the shooting. Detectives believe the incident began as a conflict between two groups, which escalated when multiple individuals drew handguns and fired their weapons.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
Seth Jackson, who was caught in the crossfire, is now permanently paralyzed and has undergone multiple surgeries. He is still in intensive care in the hospital.

A shooting occurred on March 19 at a Waffle House in Richardson. 18-year-old Seth Jackson is currently fighting for his life at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. I have requested records from the police department and have spoken with several individuals involved. According to my sources, Seth was not the intended target but was caught in the crossfire after getting off work late and deciding to get a bite to eat. He was hanging out with friends when multiple masked individuals arrived and began firing. A bullet reportedly went through Seth’s chest and spine. I am also being told that Richardson Police have not interviewed even a quarter of the witnesses who were inside the Waffle House that day. He is now permanently paralyzed and has undergone multiple surgeries. He is facing serious, life-threatening complications and is still fighting for his life. Richardson Police released a statement claiming that the victim was in stable condition and that “detectives were investigating.” The victim is NOT in stable condition. There have been NO arrests. It has been six days. Six days - and aside from a brief social media statement by police, the media remains silent while the shooter is still free and Seth is fighting for his life.
