HR: We lost another senior employee today. CEO: What happened? HR: He resigned after receiving an external offer. CEO: That makes no sense. We could have matched it. HR: That is the issue. We were willing to pay a stranger 70% more for the same role, but would not give our existing employee even a 20% raise. CEO: External hiring is different. That is market pricing. HR: He noticed that too. CEO: We appreciated his loyalty. He had been here for years. HR: Yes. And during those years, he consistently exceeded expectations while being told to “wait for the next review cycle.” CEO: But budgets are complicated for internal employees. HR: Apparently not for external candidates. The new hire budget was approved in three days. His raise request sat for eight months. CEO: We had to stay competitive in the hiring market. HR: He was part of that same market. The only difference is that another company valued him before we did. CEO: So he left over salary? HR: Not just salary. He left because he realized loyalty was being rewarded less than leaving. CEO: That is unfortunate. HR: Yes. Companies will sometimes trust a candidate after a 45-minute interview more than an employee who already proved themselves for five years. CEO: So what are you saying? HR: If companies only recognize employee value after a resignation letter appears, then eventually employees will stop waiting to be appreciated internally. Sometimes the fastest way for an employee to get market value is to stop being your employee.

@shell, @FuelRewards Bought gas today at Shell and not only didn't get the race day discount, only got half of my normal fuel rewards discount. When I went inside to let them know, they told me to contact Shell to see if they could do anything about it.

@usps @USPSHelp In case you also don't know, after sending my last message to you, I was immediately followed by 9 accounts with USPS logos, NONE of which were verified accounts. Someone is spoofing you as well!!

@usps @uspshelp just checking to make sure you do know how useless your search procedure is? I worked thru a very slow loading website to notify you of a package shown as delivered that was not, and I get back a search notice that it shows delivered.

@PublixHelps Thank Clark! Like many customers, I’m upset Publix is discontinuing Publix Pay and has failed at every opportunity to explain why beyond generic answers about “other features and tools.” Sorry you all are bearing the brunt of a poor decision!

@Publix Getting rid of Publix Pay via the App is a HUGE STEP BACKWARDS toward Customer convenience and satisfaction. I see no purpose for the App any longer; in fact, I'm beginning to see less use in shopping at Publix, where Shopping used to be a pleasure. Thankfully, @AldiUSA , @Target , and @Walmart are all within 5-8 miles of the Publix I shopped. Guess I'll be driving the extra few miles going forward.

Really disappointed in you @Publix . Dropping the Publix pay from your app means your app is now less useful, not better. Customer service over the last few years has dropped noticeably, you got rid of butcher areas, now you're getting rid of the most convenient part of your app? Never thought I would see the day when Publix is just some other grocery store instead of THE grocery store. Sad. Hope you fire whoever is making these decisions soon and get back to basics or you'll be another Wang Computers or Blockbuster.

@Publix Discontinuing the in-app Publix Pay feature is a poor choice. You’re making it more difficult for shoppers to utilize discounts, track receipts and pay. This will mean slower and more cumbersome checkouts for customers.
