Honored to welcome Mayor Chen Chi-mai and a distinguished delegation from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, National Sun Yat-sen University and ITRI to the Historic Pima County Courthouse and the @uarizona on Friday. On behalf of U of A President Suresh Garimella, I signed an MOU with Mayor Chen, Yao-Ching Hsieh (NSYSU), Jennifer Allen (Pima County Board of Supervisors), Fernando Garcia (Arizona Commerce Authority), and Timothy Thomure (City of Tucson). This academic–industry–government partnership strengthens the global #semiconductor ecosystem and helps position Southern Arizona as a hub for semiconductor innovation.
