Thomas Derzypolski came out of the pen and worked 7 innings, scattered 3 hits, didn't allow a run, struck out 6 and didn't walk a hitter. Harvey Coots (Pace HS), Wesson Stanley (Wakulla HS) and Graham Ghio (Leon HS) collected hits. Stanley doubled. Coots, Ghio and Finn Francis (Chiles HS) contributed RBI's. NLB will continue play tomorrow.

It's being reported that Matt Gaetz had the support of every Republican Senator except four Senator Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) Senator Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) Senator John Curtis (Utah) Senator Susan Collins (Maine) I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW! Why did Utah vote for a Mitt Romney clone? Why do people in Kentucky keep voting for McConnell? Why do Alaskans keep voting for Lisa Murkowski? It's shameful.

So *I* actually believe that progressive is where moderate republicans can land. Look at what our local progressives are calling for: more government accountability, more financial transparency, support of first responders, budget cuts rather than increase in taxes.

@850CapitalTea That’s what’s ironic and sad for their movement. Many of the policies are sound and worthy of consideration. The problem is their tone and how they conduct themselves. We can debate this fact, but I’m telling you it’s true.

@serenitywlms As a friend of mine said today, “They shouldn’t have hijacked the local party for doing Matlow’s work. The Democrat infighting that Ray, Matlow and their operatives have stirred up in Leon is a joke.”

@tderzy I’m curious what you and Jon would do differently? Inman Johnson came very close to unseating a long time incumbent. In a national/state arena where voter turnout was depressed. You can throw numbers all day, but put it into context.

@serenitywlms I’m not a political tactician. Evidently the current local Democrat leadership isn’t either. Listen, I shared an article for my Democrat friends to read. If I was a Democrat right now, I’d be looking at the contents of that article and not my post.

@southsidenocap @850CapitalTea You’re not doing this, but some of the Facebook pages here do it. There’s never a focus on the content of the article. Some of the groups point the finger back in the other direction to deflect. The article has some stunning and damning data in it.

@850CapitalTea I don’t know anything about that. I read the article myself and decided to share it. I think most of my friends are Democrats and they should be deeply concerned locally. From what I understand of the author, he led the party to success for I think 20 years or so,? Right?

@tderzy It’s interesting, Ausman made a Facebook post yesterday and was fighting for his life in the comments. Even deleted comments. It’s difficult to have progress when someone doesn’t accept differing perspectives.
