@maddieparrish61 ADE site says funding got used up, but you’re telling me that since Oct., the state got that many more enrollments for their 8th session that it ate all the funds? And that they misjudged that badly how long the funding would last? I call BS. You should too.

@maddieparrish61 Care to do a story about the abrupt ending of the AZ Achievement Tutoring program just 2 months after announcing it would continue through May? No warning to families or the centers providing the services. No alternate resources for bubble kids like my son either

@GovernorHobbs Care to ask Horne why his Dept. abruptly cancelled the free state tutoring program one session after announcing it would continue until May? No warning to families, service providers either. No alternative resources for bubble kids like my son either. 1/2

That means my time covering Arizona’s education dept has come to an end. I’m forever grateful for the team @azcentral that helped me produce high-impact journalism, like this. It was the highlight of my career (so far) — let's keep the momentum going. azcentral.com/story/news/loc…

I'm back in South Carolina! After a couple years covering education out West, today is my first day as @theobserver's accountability reporter for Rock Hill, York County and other SC communities that border Charlotte.

President Biden’s announcement today that he is withdrawing from the race will go down in history as a stunning act of patriotism, selflessness and courage— a profound statement of personal character at a time when such displays are rare in our toxic politics. Joe Biden will go down as one of country’s great civil servants, a man who served his country with pride and purpose over decades of service, a man who loyally served the country’s first Black president, who put the first Black woman on the Supreme Court, and choose the first woman in history to serve as his vice president. This is a man who has overcome tremendous personal tragedies, having buried a wife, a daughter, a son, and has stood by a surviving son who struggles with addiction. And now, in this remarkable decision, coming during another period of adversity, President Biden turns pain into purpose by making a great debate about the future direction of our country about something bigger than himself; bigger than all of us. Thank you, Mr. President. I’m in awe of your example.

The irony @McDonalds is that it was your staff member being verbally abusive, berating coworkers w/ F-💣s & wrongly arguing w/ customers (like me). The entire restaurant fell silent when she yelled at her coworker, “You don’t know what the f—- you are doing.” Horrible experience.

Unpopular opinion: Beyoncé’s version of #Jolene reeks of insecurity, misplaced anger and, honestly, is completely void of the raw emotion and vulnerability that makes Dolly’s version so impactful.

Well, that’s one solution to the housing crisis. Or you could, I dunno, pay workers a living wage.

@DoorDash_Help what a night: 1. Order delivered an hour later than initial delivery estimate. 2. Order wrong. 3. Waited 30 mins in two separate support chats that were supposed to connect in “under 2 minutes”. #nothappy

I really hate how @DoorDash extends their delivery time, often doubling it, AFTER you submit the order. 😒
