Initial audience scores for #MichaelMovie are really good with a 3.6 on LB, 7.7 on IMDB, 97% on RT' Popcornmeter, and an A- CS. These will go down as the weeks pass by, but they'll settle into being much higher than critics' scores. However as good as these scores are, they are actually below a couple other early films from this year, so even a few audience members seemingly saw what critics did.

MBJ was the worst of the five nominees by a not insignificant margin.

It's because they chose to run her as Lead Actress instead of Supporting. I think she would have an Oscar right now if they'd not tried to perform some category fraud and put her supporting performance in as a lead one. Sean Penn won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar and has more screentime than Infiniti does. And Infiniti is actually good in the movie, unlike Penn. She'd be Oscar-winner Chase Infiniti right now if they'd campaigned her correctly.

People who say that Michael B. Jordan got a sympathy Oscar need to chill out and I’m not even the biggest fan of the performance. But it’s clear that a lot of people feel passion for it. After Chalamet, he was the close no. 2 for critics. It’s clearly not a Jamie Lee Curtis win.

@EmansReviews One Battle After Another had me hooked from the start all the way to finish. I really loved the camera work and the acting of the 6 different povs of the story. With Sinners, it was good, but the moment the vampires came in was the moment it took me out of the story.
