Last Thursday, 12th February 2026, I attended the Kogi Central general meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held at Engr. Sam Uhuotu’s compound in Ihima Obeiba. It was a strategic gathering focused on preparing Kogi Central for the 2027 general elections and consolidating the new political direction we are building together.
Unity was strongly emphasised throughout the meeting. We agreed that without genuine cooperation across wards and interest groups, no structure can stand for long. The message was simple and clear: we must close ranks, harmonise our efforts and move forward as one body if we truly intend to deliver key positions for Kogi Central at the senatorial, state and national levels. Our discussions centred on strengthening party structures at the grassroots, engaging stakeholders more effectively. We also hope to position our district to compete confidently in 2027. This vision goes beyond participation. It is about relevance, and we are ready to deliver our quota for Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
After the meeting in Obeiba, I proceeded to my local government, Ogori-Magongo, where I held a lengthy and productive discussion with ward officials and stakeholders. The reception was very encouraging. There was openness to ideas and a shared determination to build something lasting. That level of engagement gave me even greater hope that the seeds we are sowing today will grow into a formidable political force.
What stood out most in both meetings was the willingness of people to put collective interest above personal ambition. That spirit of unity and discipline is what will sustain this movement. We are laying foundations carefully, knowing that strong structures are built over time.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute my quota to this process. The journey to 2027 has begun in earnest, and with unity and strategic planning, I believe we can build a platform that truly represents the aspirations of our people and positions Kogi Central strongly within Kogi State and across Nigeria.
