IRCC REP Q&A 2023-0055 Question: Canadian immigration law states that a study permit becomes 90 days after the permit holder completes their studies. The IRCC website says that if a student completes their studies and begins or resumes studying within 150 days then they do not need to get a new study permit? Between days 90 - 150 can a student begin or resume their studies even though the law says that the permit is invalid? Answer: According to the website, yes.
