As they say that, if you are doing one thing you are missing many others. If you are using #react your are not using or falling behind in #angular and #vue. But you are still writing #javascript which matters more that getting in #beginner discussion of which framework is better.

I don't understand one thing....almost all companies are laying off in such high numbers every few weeks then where are all those people going ? and why isn't there any protest for this and till when will this keep going ? Will tech be just a myth in few years ??

Good old trick: in dark mode, variable font weight should be made slightly lighter, because light text on a dark background appears bolder than dark text on a light background. css-tricks.com/dark-mode-and-…

I will be 40 soon, writing code professionally for 18 years. I learned writing code 21 years ago, Seriously the only thing I need to tell you is never to go into the comfort zone. And yes the selfie had nothing to do with the post 😅 hope I still get hired in future.

Tip: Stop using gray 1px borders. Stack a 1px white inset shadow + 1px black 4% outer shadow instead to make elements feel sharper and more dimensional.

@peterpme I assume both designs ensures a consistent design. Which might be the point of this tweet. But how then innovate with this pattern?

As a society, we should prevent polymorphic React components at all costs. Components should be composable. Your career depends on it

Almost everyone knows the `fromEvent` function in #RxJS However, not everyone is familiar with the universal `fromEventPattern` function, which allows turning any API with event handling into an observable Here is an #Angular component that subscribes to a `MutationObserver`:

@clockmaker Yeah make sense when object is globally available, imagine doing that in component frameworks land where no object is exposed to global

@readswithravi This is very true, even with AI you might achieve things that you couldn't before but there is always some minor details missing a minor tweak that stop you from publishing, from finishing it.

@maxedapps This is one of the reasons IMO, I could make up mind and tempt to comment without even watching video because of clickbait title and thumbnail. A side effect a consequence

Maybe also because videos got more clickbaity. I used to be able to create boring thumbnails and titles. Worked in the past - dies immediately today.

One thing I had to learn: people nowadays just comment right away on yt, based on what the *think* the video is about - not about what the video actually is. Wasn't like this when I started. And also not 5 years ago or so I think. Parts of the internet are collectively getting dumber and more annoying every year, as it seems.

Funny how easy it is to settle into a Neovim workflow. It works, so I stop exploring. Then I see someone else’s setup and suddenly realize how much more is possible. Sometimes you need another perspective to see your own limits. #nvim #vim #neovim

Nice to see excitement around the proposed html-in-canvas feature, but remember you can already put canvas behind/atop HTML elements. The benefits of this new feature are: ➡️ Readbacks (eg sending to a VideoEncoder) ➡️ Showing HTML on non-planar shapes ➡️ Using shaders on HTML
