This physics world builder has been stuck for months. The underlying math and physics works, but I could not progress the render pipeline.
Kimi K3 comes along and we're actually making progress again.

@thdxr Yep I was very concerned about falling behind. Tried to learn everything and eventually saw that any abstraction was the wrong one. The industry did what it does and I can just use off the shelf harnesses and be just as productive as you but without having to fix my hotrod.

when i used to learn a new library or framework i had this urge to come up with an abstraction the moment i hit something i didn't like
this was always wrong. i should have turned off my brain and just focused on absorbing the different way of doing things
when you do that you realize most of it makes sense once you've adjusted
the same thing is happening right now with ai coding. everyone is coming up with some incremental trick or patch for these tools perceived short comings
and they're very proud of them
but now is the time to absorb not fix

the kids play and do crafts from 6-9pm and they’re fed pizza by the nanny state while the parents go out and be irresponsible

@VicVijayakumar $30/child makes sense to me. Taxpayer funded does not. A good middle ground being if you can’t afford the $30 then you don’t need to pay it. We need more guaranteed services that aren’t funded by taxes.
