@Moonalice I was at that show too. Per your other post on when he died, I remember being in front of a wall of TVs at the Good Guys (old defunct store for those not in the SF Bay Area) on El Camino in Mountain View and everyone at the store was in shock, with hundreds of TVs tuned to Jerry

The 90s were up and down, as Jerry struggled with health issues, and the band’s increasing popularity led to trouble outside a few venues in the Midwest. My last show was at Shoreline in June 1995, where you could still buy Spinner Insurance w/ your coffee for 50 cents. 6/x

This is a @jerrygarcia appreciation thread … while I first became aware of the Dead in the late 60s via my older brothers, I did not start listening until 1971. Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty were my rite of passage. First concert was 50 years ago at Watkins Glen 1/x

Contrary to our long-held suspicions, it appears that @KrisMyersDrums is indeed human. Hear it from the man himself below… “I have recently had to make an extremely difficult decision after an MRI result that revealed significant wear and tear on my left shoulder rotator cuff. Based on the best medical advice, I will be undergoing full rotator cuff repair surgery to prevent any permanent damage and prepare for many more years to come behind the drums. Unfortunately, I will be recovering for the rest of the year resulting in my absence from further shows in 2023. I love and appreciate you all and please take comfort in knowing that everything will be okay and I’ll be playing again soon with my favorite band. And look out, ‘cause when I come back…my drums will take an epic historic beating like nobody has ever seen before!” - KM

@Caltrain An average Giants Game is below 30k attendees, this concert will be about 50k attendees. We need extra capacity to get these extra attendees down the peninsula, and late trains after the last song Sat and Sunday for after.

Bootstrap 5.3.0 was just released (blog.getbootstrap.com/2023/05/30/boo…) and it reminded me why @google Bard's internet access is so powerful. Bard knows the latest version is 5.3.0, but ChatGPT doesn't. And Bard generated me a complete web page using Bootstrap while throwing in Vue for fun.
