#EMBOLISE2 Observation cohort showed that we need to keep our SDH patients on AC/AP. High baseline rates of comorbidity mean they suffer if we stop their meds. #ISC26

Although ventricular enlargement is a key feature of idiopathic normal-pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH), this finding alone is nonspecific, occurring in many conditions, including brain volume loss with aging. The ventriculomegaly of idiopathic normal-pressure hydrocephalus is often described as “out of proportion to brain atrophy,” which is a subjective assessment. Read the full review: nej.md/4pxWVad

Honored to see our work featured by @JAMAOto! Beyond the findings, this study reminds me how essential clear, respectful communication is to ensure all patients feel seen and heard. Many thanks to @emilybossmd for her mentorship!

Child weight status was not associated with measured verbal communication behaviors but was associated with lower parent ratings and observer ratings of clinician respectfulness. ja.ma/4fBApsI @ashwinrreddy

If you *only* used SAT to admit to elite colleges, share of admits from top 1% income falls 15.8% → 9.9% and representation from <$200k rises by +8.8%, with no reduction in post-college outcomes. It's 'holistic review' and 'ban SAT' policy that allows the most wealthy and powerful to virtue signal while getting an edge.

Contrast induced encephalopathy (CIE) is a rare but important complication of endovascular procedures. This multicenter study found that corticosteroid treatment was linked to faster symptom resolution, while intravenous fluids showed a positive trend. With most patients making a full recovery, the authors propose a treatment #algorithm to help guide clinical management—highlighting the need for further prospective validation. bit.ly/45162bl #endovascular #neurointervention #neurosurgery #clinicalguideline
