With profound humility, I thank President @KagutaMuseveni for reappointing me to the Ministry of Education and Sports (@Educ_SportsUg) as the State Minister for Sports.

@FrankTumwebazek @nyamadon @ObothOboth @Thomas_Tayebwa @Parliament_Ug Point 1. YES AND YES
Point 2. I still beg to be convinced. There was rampant abuse of these wears. You could find someone dressed in a glaring nightwear disguised as African outfit. This created ridicule to the institution.
Serious parameters might need to be included
English

To our Bagole ( Rt hons @ObothOboth & @Thomas_Tayebwa ) Congratulations once again!
Sorry to interrupt your Honey-moon. I have two prayers to make to you and all members of the 12th @Parliament_Ug .
i) I request for a flexible Parliamentary calendar that allows members, reasonable amount of recess time to spend with their constituents doing barazas and outreaches. An MP having enough time listening to the people and monitoring the impact of government programs is one of the enablers of oversight & getting a people centered parliament that u pledged to us yesterday in your maiden acceptance speeches . This is also one way of reducing the high turnover of MPs at the next election.
ii) And on a lighter note, please let's ammed the rules and bring back our African wear dressing ( Mandela shirts, bitenge shirts, smart casual, etc) in addition to Khaunda suit to form part of the acceptable Parliamentary wear. Eeeh Neck-ties & suits are killing us. I didn't sleep last night!

MY CANADA EXPERIENCES
Today I speak at the WESTERN UNIVERSITY about what makes UGANDA unique alongside Amb @kajik5566 and why consider Uganda in their future travels.
Then I will speak to a group of UGANDAN CANADIANS about how they can take advantage of Canada by bringing Canadian tourists.
I have to travel to CANADA to look for business and they live with the market that Uganda needs. Uganda would benefit a lot if the diaspora led the way.
We were also at OTTAWA MARATHON and because we gave free coffee, many people wanted to know where to buy the same coffee in Canada and that’s a business opportunity for Ugandans living and working here.
Big market for Ugandan products here

Despite the tyranny of numbers that overwhelmed us, we declare that ours was not a numerical challenge but a moral challenge. We took up a fight everyone was cowering from and faced attacks from many quarters including from friends blinded by short term considerations. Many counseled me to throw in the towel fearing the outcome of the ballot. When the counting started, one MP told me that due to strict partisan voting I would be lucky to get ten votes. I put my seat on the line by telling him that if I got less than ten votes I would resign from Parliament. That aside, despite the opposition we faced, the fight was worthwhile. Thanks to the power of outrage fueled by many patriots, Parliament can breathe again. Our collective efforts brought a gush of fresh air in Parliament.
