Redesigned and built the new website for @zfellows It was a great experience working with @cory and @0baylor through many iterations — good vision, sharp feedback, and a shared focus on quality. Loved how this one turned out — scroll through the new site 👇 📌 I’m open for new projects — DMs are open!

Here's another one: Got a legal notice of Rs. 20,00,000 in the past. And a court case + cyber crime complaint against me just over ₹30,000. It was a simple visual identity + packaging design project. ₹60,000 total. ₹30,000 advance paid. Seemed straightforward. Then things got weird. The feedback wasn't constructive and was pure opinion. It was like wanting a Bali trip on a ₹1,000 budget. Nothing was ever good enough. After a month of work, we mutually decided to stop the project. Then he asked for his advance back. I politely declined. Industry standard: You don't refund an advance after work has been delivered. That's what the advance is FOR. He didn't take it well. First, he threatened to call my parents and tell them I "scammed" him. Then he actually did it. My parents had no idea what was even going on. Then came the court case. Then a cybercrime complaint. And here's where India's system failed. My bank account was frozen for 6 months. No verification or hearing on my side. Just frozen. I sent 50+ emails trying to resolve it. No replies. In the end, I paid ₹35,000 out of pocket just to unfreeze my own account and close the matter. But he wasn't done. He emailed EVERY guest on my podcast, personally, claiming he lost ₹20 lakhs because of this project. ₹20,00,000. For just ₹30,000. It's been almost a year. His brand still hasn't launched. Lessons I learned the hard way: → Always have an airtight contract → Advances are non-refundable; put it in writing → Red flags in feedback = red flags in the client → Not every project is worth starting Some clients will cost you more than they ever pay you.

This is the TOXIC Indian freelance industry got a legal notice today. Rs. 10,00,000 penalty for "non-compliance" here's the full story: - signed a ₹X L ERP project - delivered 100% of agreed scope - they kept adding features saying "this was discussed day 1" - i absorbed it, built 40% extra out of goodwill - 6 months of over-delivering - still got a legal notice the Indian market has a specific breed of client they sign a scope, ignore it the moment work starts, gaslight you into believing their new demands were "always part of the deal" and then threaten you when you can't keep up > the signed agreement means nothing to them > your goodwill becomes their weapon > I should have walked away at month 2. > lesson learned the hard way.
