just showed this image to my husband and said “he’s still a baby in this one. to the untrained eye it may be hard to tell, but not for me.”

@AoDespair @countmystars @HollyBSo @benjamin_rubin @moses_marquez @stevendeknight I wish the guild would have addressed the issue this directly last night instead of skirting and being dismissive. I think that would have eased a lot of the concern seen on social media today. Thank you, David Simon!

@countmystars @HollyBSo @benjamin_rubin @moses_marquez @stevendeknight Further, this is the negotiation that cracks the nut and begins miniroom and regular room minimums. Wait for 2025 and watch lower rate guaranteed positions added to the staffing minimums once studios realize they back into giving the first three a W/P rate.

@robsforman Thank you. It concerns me that guild leadership is out of touch with the struggles of LL/ML members, and while the gains of this deal are GREAT, they mean nothing if we can’t get the jobs in the first place. I’m very happy we have you in the room now — congrats!

@robsforman Hi, Rob! Thank you for this acknowledgment. The way questions were answered about this issue at the meeting was very disappointing — especially the implication that the ladder isn’t broken until you get to co-producer level.

@wgangelinab I want to believe this, but it has not been the experience for a lot of LLs (or MLs) the last couple years. We’ve heard they’re not reading for LLs/MLs over and over and over. The fear is valid, and the guild’s stance on the issue comes off, frankly, very out of touch 😬
English

@stevendeknight I know you’re right in that it’s a huge gain that can be expanded on in future negotiations, but as an LL who has struggled to even get read the last few years, I’m disappointed. The idea of going back to what things were like pre-strike is a big blow. I hope I’m wrong.

@loganrapp818 @stevendeknight How so? Can you elaborate?

@ZackLessons We just watched SAW yesterday on our couch with our dog! (She was not impressed. Said Cary Elwes’s American accent needed improvement)

@realchipriggs A woman filed a hit and run report on me, claiming I rear-ended her & fled the scene on that interchange. She of course had enough time to get my plates and description — probably bc I was stuck behind her in standstill traffic for 30 mins on a ramp that’s impossible to “flee” 😒

All you #Yellowjackets & #Riverdale fans. I see you. Watch @ImpulseSeries and have all your desires become reality. It also happens to be the most wonderfully crafted piece of art I still can’t believe I was involved in. m.youtube.com/watch?v=holzBg…

Several showrunners said they did not want to be forced to hire writers who are not needed. In its worst form, they say, that would amount to “featherbedding,” an illegal labor practice in which employers are required to hire workers who do no work. bit.ly/3sk06cw
