Happy Monday!  It’s been ~2 months since we stealth-launched our early beta, and we'd like to shed some light on a core question: What exactly is Tenbin (in 1 paragraph)? Well, Tenbin is a new digital world where we're not ranked by our location via the latitude and longitude axes, but by our reputation via the trust and distrust axes.  In this world, God doesn't favor the Eurasian over the indigenous via natural geographical advantage.  In this world, social classes are determined solely on our characters, backed by ancient and unshakable mathematical axioms from one of the most influential writings of human history -- Euclid's Elements. And of course, for a new digital world, we'd (eventually) need a new digital currency to reward our beloved citizens, namely our voters. If you like/believe in what we're doing, make some effort and join us to become our citizens.  We've decided to keep this post short but, trust us, things are just getting started :)

Happy Monday everyone. For the week ended Sep 21, we've created reputation markets for the two largest prediction market entities @Polymarket and @Kalshi on Tenbin, with Polymarket currently at 78% reputation and Kalshi at 64%. Their stake-backed reputation score will exist onchain, forever. For these two, the battle for US market shares continues, and it somewhat feels like the battle b/w Alibaba and eBay in the early 2000s' Chinese e-commerce war.  Interestingly, the 'USA Jack Ma' here can be either Shayne or Tarek depending on your perception, and we welcome voters to express their perception with real stakes by repositioning these two entities via tenbin.finance/map And one more thing, we're currently finalizing an intuitive incentive mechanism to reward our voters.  Tenbin is a bottom-up digital society for reputation and potentially all meaningful binary preferences. Our voters are not only citizens of this society, but also jurors of the world, so we will try our absolute best to take care of them. That's all for now :)

Recently we've been asked why some map icons look darker than others, especially for low-reputation entities.  This is actually a feature that's designed to reflect human nature and not a bug. Specifically, each entity's icon consists of their profile pic layered over a solid black background, and the profile pic's opacity scales linearly with reputation.  - For entities with low reputation, the profile pic will have a low opacity and is therefore penetrated by the background, so the icon appears darker.  - Likewise, for entities with high reputation, there's little to no penetration, so their icons and profile pics look similar. Below is an example with @realDonaldTrump at different reputation (90%, 60% and 30%). Without diving too deep into philosophical debates between Plato, Nietzsche, Jung etc, we think this realistically reflects that, inside each of us there's a dark demon that needs to be tamed.  Those who courageously acknowledge and tame their demon are likely to be an entity of integrity, wisdom and discipline, and those who fail are likely to be devoured by their dark side and become untrustworthy -- chasing pleasure, power and greed without restraint. Hope this makes sense, the Tenbin team
