Today’s Constitutional Court challenge against #CA3 exposes something deeper than legal disagreement, it exposes political inconsistency disguised as constitutionalism. #CA3 is not bypassing the Constitution. It is operating THROUGH the Constitution. Parliament opened the Bill to public debate, conducted consultations and is processing it using constitutional mechanisms provided for constitutional amendments themselves. That is exactly how constitutional democracies function. The applicants are presenting transitional constitutional arrangements as if they are automatically illegal, yet constitutions across the world regularly contain transitional clauses whenever governance systems evolve. Constitutional reform is not unconstitutional simply because opposition politicians dislike its political consequences. Even more telling is the fact that President Mnangagwa did not personally file opposing papers because the matter is largely about statutory and constitutional interpretation, something the Attorney-General addressed in her affidavit. Yet opponents are desperately trying to turn a legal process into political theatre. At its core, #CA3 is about governance efficiency, policy continuity and aligning national development cycles with long-term planning objectives under NDS2. Countries amend constitutions all the time to respond to evolving national realities. Zimbabwe cannot be the only democracy expected to freeze its constitutional development permanently because opposition activists weaponise fear around reform.

His car was later found near the Warren D conceal mountains, where gravel is collected. Blood was reportedly found on the back seat of the vehicle, and a knife was also seen at the scene. Brian’s phone has been recovered and is currently with the police, but Brian himself has still not been found. Investigations are now underway. Zamzam was 16 years old in 2013 when she left Nairobi, Kenya, in the company of smugglers, on her way to the United Kingdom. She travelled through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Ethiopian Airlines, with stopovers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Harare, Zimbabwe. The last time she was heard from was on 18 August 2013 at around 4:45 PM. While at Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe, she called her brother, Abdulaziz Adan Warsame, and said she was waiting for a British Airways flight to continue her journey to the UK. Later that same day, she also called her mother, Hasna Adan Hirsi. After that, no further contact has been made. The smuggler who was travelling with her said he left her at Harare Airport after giving her a UK passport belonging to another girl who looked like her. She was reportedly using this passport to continue her journey to the United Kingdom. Investigations suggest that she may have been detained in an unknown country after leaving Harare. Her devastated family is urgently seeking information regarding her whereabouts.
