I have had the great honour of my short story being published in the same magazine that once showcased Asimov and Henlein. Check out the May/June 2021 issue of Analog Science Fiction & Fact to read it!

“Once upon a time, people took psychedelics to see visions of God or to divest themselves of their earthly preconceptions. These days? Nobody can afford to take the time off work.” Hit the sun-baked road with “Five Star Review” by @teraspawn, on sale now! ow.ly/AgST50EFnxZ

@tacksntrips @areyoflight It sounds like you're having a tough time with work! Have you tried finding out if you're eligible for some help with your disability costs? This is a benefits calculator: entitledto.co.uk. I hope you get some rest soon!

"You don't look sick". Thanks, I've taken 4 medications, rested for 2 days and saved the next 2 days so I can recover, all so I can be here today.

@allyc375 @RachelReevesMP Please do stay alive, if nothing else to be a thorn in the side of the Labour front bench. I'm keeping myself going on pure spite. We have a great deal more worth than anyone who props up their career by making disabled people's lives worse.

@broadwaybabyto I used to volunteer in the computer room of a project for homeless and vulnerably housed people, and a lot of people relied on the brief time they had on free computers to deal with the benefits system and job applications. Internet access is essential.

There’s a disturbing number of people insinuating that poor or disabled folks shouldn’t have cell phones as they’re a “luxury” First, we deserve nice things too Second, it’s 2025. They’re not a luxury anymore You can’t find a job or access many social services without one

I've set up a folder for people to upload email responses they've had from their MPs, as getting an idea of what the exact copy/paste responses they're using are is a good first step in drafting a template pushback reply we can all use. drive.google.com/drive/folders/…

@ITVNewsPolitics @AnushkaAsthana She’s right though, it’s all to easy to get benefits. I know of a family who have 3 mobility cars, two of which don’t even have a license and so give the car to friends for a fee.

Liz Kendall refuses to retract comments saying too many people on benefits are 'taking the mickey' The DWP Secretary doubles down on those concerns, saying '£8bn a year is wasted on fraud in the benefit system', in an interview with @AnushkaAsthana

You must not spread information that you know to be untrue. Please refer to the real statistics and stop trying to put the nation's economic problems on the shoulders of the disabled. We're just trying to live! gov.uk/government/sta…

Unfortunately @leicesterliz stated completely misleading statistics about benefits fraud in her ITV News interview: she appeared to claim that £8 billion of disability benefits are fraudulently claimed. According to the government's own figures, the amount of fraud is 0-0.1%.

@Fox_Claire We need to talk about how there are suddenly so many left handed people now that left handedness in children is permitted in schools. It must be making them left handed! It's a menace!

My amendment calling for a review of the problems of over-diagnosis, whether of mental-health problems or ADHD/on the spectrum autism, and its impact on scarce NHS resources. I was grateful that one of the great experts on autism, Baroness Browning, intervened and challenged me on definitions. It is always useful to be forced to be clear.

@vicderbyshire @BenChu_ @nicholaswatt @sophgaston The patronising way Sebastian Gorka speaks to you is sickening to watch. I'm very impressed with your patience and professionalism, but if you one day choose to snap and tell him to fuck off, the country will be behind you.

@suziegeewizz Don't worry, I'm sure they think that paralysed people are also scroungers somehow. We're all in this together.

This country is literally full of absolutely morons who think that "disabled" only means someone who's frucking paraplegic in a mouth-controlled electric wheelchair. And all other disabled people aren't actually disabled but are scam artists and scroungers 😭😩

@AlmutGadow @OpenUniversity Sexual dimorphism in animals is still taught in every biology class I've personally attended or taught, and I think we are both aware that Stonewall does not have an issue with the concept of dimorphism in animals, including humans. Instead, they campaign against transphobia.

@teraspawn @OpenUniversity I'm afraid I don't have a tv licence, so can't watch it. But agree about the importance of facts. So, what's the answer, Beth? Are scientists at the Open University free to talk about sexual dimorphism without having to fear punishment for going outside Stonewall doctrine? Beth?

@AngelaRayner I assume you'll continue to support disabled people by voting against cuts in PIP and universal credit, otherwise this is completely hollow.
