Israeli settler terrororize farmers, jn the area of Taybeh in the West Bank. The settlers set up an outpost a few meters from Palestinian houses, threw rocks at Palestinians and activists, cut the fence and circled the area the whole night. The Israeli army eventually declared the area a closed military zone, kicked out the activists, and allowed the settlers to remain. The settlers are led by Avishai Horowitz, Zohar Sabah and Neriya Ben Pazi, all of whom are responsible for the expulsion of several Palestinian communities in the area, including Ras al-Auja. Naif Samaro was about to be a new father. Israeli troops gunned him down outside the hospital while his wife gave birth. He’s among the 42 Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank since January 2026.

There is no justification for this whatsoever. And it certainly isn’t ’antisemitic’ to call out the atrocities inflicted on Palestinians. And it’s been going on for decades.

An update on this, today: Lawyers have just reported that Thiago Ávila is being subjected to "repeated interrogations lasting up to eight hours". Interrogators have explicitly threatened him, stating he will either be “killed” or “spend 100 years in jail". Both Ávila and Saif Abukeshek are being held in total isolation, under constant high-intensity lighting. Lawyers say this is as "a known Israeli Prison Service (IPS) practice specifically designed to induce sleep deprivation and sensory disorientation." Ávila has reported being held in extremely cold temperatures. Both men are kept "blindfolded at all times whenever they are moved outside their cells, including during medical examinations".

An investigation is probably the only way to now clear the air on this. “ The decision is being made, not in Canberra, it’s being made by US military personnel. “And if they want to give directives to the Australian military personnel embedded on this or any other submarine, what this document says is the Australians have to follow.”

This was inevitable. The genocide began in Gaza, and when Western regimes demonstrated that they would tolerate and even support Israel’s genocide there, Israel expanded the genocide to the West Bank and south Lebanon. Again, Western regimes elected to support Israel’s atrocities there, so Israel has begun to carry out a genocide in East Jerusalem. Unless and until Israel is held accountable, it will continue to expand the genocide and, inevitably, it will inflict its sadism on Palestinian citizens of Israel. All of this is the handiwork of Western governments. Those of us living in the West are ruled by monsters.
