@mmsBA @scottiebateman @DavidJonesGB @BoeingAirplanes Think you’ve nailed it. Reducing Vmcg and Vmc are the good reasons to move engines inboard. But having the mass outboard is good for wing relief, and having separation between engines is good for airflow.
Not sure about burst zones though - not a big difference.

My #wingfriday this week is a really unusual concept built by @BoeingAirplanes to be the first iteration of the 747. This two tier #aircraft was dumped in favour of moving the flight deck to a hump…allow freight to be loaded through the nose. The rest is history. #WePilots
