Terms like "knife crime" and "gangs" oversimplify & often obscure the complex social dynamics involved. Reducing a range of issues—poverty, structural inequality, trauma, marginalisation, lack of opportunity into a single, stigmatised term "knife crime" or demonising label "gang"
