I had a discussion during my annual physical with my Doc regarding the high turnover rate and lack of American born doctors in the medical system that I had been in for twenty years. An executive health program. He said the trend is that young doctors coming out of medical school want a four day work week in a city with things to do. A different work ethic. The demand is there and they will go where the dollars and the lifestyle are. Someone on X, in a small town mentioned that the Doctors they were getting were all from other countries. I can't believe they are the best and the brightest.

@texnbob1 We've homeschooled for 12 years now. It just always pissed me off i couldn't even write off our expenses. Now our state offers ESA which has been nice.

This makes perfect sense. You will be getting first rate teachers who care. You will be getting first rate teachers who believe in and will teach American history. You will get first rate teachers that will help their students succeed for years after they graduation. $13,000 is not enough.

@westexascindy Interesting. Your experience and input would seem important to the ones with the money making the decisions at the Capital. I grew up in a small 2-3 doc town.

Been that way for at least 30 years. An important variable is where the spouse of American-born doc is from. Is she/he is from a small town, the doc is more likely to go there or a small town nearby. Another factor is the insurance reimbursement rate which is higher metropolitan areas. I still think the state needs to encourage docs to try small/medium sized town. I worked with a family medicine training program for many years and watched this play out.

US SPR crude inventories just fell to a multi year low. 316.5 million barrels, down roughly 3 million on the week. Sour crude down 2.6 million to 200.2 million. Sweet down 0.4 million to 116.3 million. This is the same SPR draw mechanism from tmy latest article, now with a formally restarted war on the other side of the ledger.
