@Three_Cone Fair enough, I just think framing it as a Shai thing specifically is kinda missing the mark. It happens to just about every dynasty, I think things with the thunder are just exacerbated by the current internet landscape (algos trying to ragebait for engagement)

It’s much more than the flopping / physicality talk, it’s the cycle of winning turning into hatred, it’s the same thing that’ll happen to the spurs in a huge way as they continue to rise and win titles They’ll be just as if not more hated than the Thunder and it’s really interesting how that cycle always progresses

Honest question: Why doesn’t the NBA assign an officiating team to an entire series? Wouldn’t the officials be able to adjust to their own mistakes or reevaluate their emphases and approaches, as opposed to inheriting issues from an entirely different group of officials?
