New Jersey has 6.7 million voters.
4.3 million live in the blue band between Philadelphia and New York.
2.4 million live outside the blue band.
Density goes a long way toward explaining both the map and the reasons why we sort ourselves and vote the way we do.

@tfiore07 Schools are guaranteed to get 100% of their levy under state law so PILOT agreements are not defunding schools. In fact, PILOT agreements benefit municipal coffers and the residents' final tax bill ends up better off than leaving a property undeveloped.

Income-restricted affordable housing costs money to build and operate.
Market-rate rentals cannot effectively subsidize affordable ones so PILOTs, LIHTC, and Aspire make up the difference.

Electoral coalitions do shift, but what cannot be denied is that no candidate for federal or statewide office has carried NJ11 by a bigger margin than Mejia's 19.5 percent since Rodney Frelinghuysen's 25.2 percent win over Mark Dunec in 2014.

New Jersey taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for FIFA’s shortcomings.
FIFA cozied to Trump and left New Jerseyans holding the bag. On top of that, they want to erase New Jersey from their marketing. Insult to injury and it’s unacceptable.

To Recap: Our Administration inherited an agreement where FIFA contributes $0 toward transportation for the World Cup – while also eliminating parking at MetLife Stadium. Except for premium parking, where FIFA is charging over $200 per spot. As a result, NJ TRANSIT must carry four times the usual ridership for events at the venue, at a cost of $48 million. New Jerseyans shouldn’t be stuck with that bill while FIFA makes $11 billion in profits.

UPDATE: The NCAA DI Cabinet will hold a further discussion on age-based eligibility later today. This idea would essentially eliminate redshirts and give college athletes five years of eligibility starting when you graduate high school or when you turn 19. Whichever is earlier.
