Having zillions of books is just glorified hoarding behavior. Nobody can read more than a couple thousand books lifetime, you're either trying to buy them for archiving or you're a hoarder and the line can get super fuzzy super fast.

Something that doesn’t happen very often, a Tufted Titmouse decides to dine in at the Hand of Snacks! Their feet typically feel like a light touch, but when they are gripping a seed to eat, their feet feel like a pinch (but not painful.)

Deeply grateful to all who have sent well wishes and prayers since hearing about Mom’s hospitalization—and to all of the medical professionals taking good care of her. She is out of surgery, which went well, and while recovery may be a long road, we are hopeful for a good outcome and buoyed by the love and encouragement of family and friends.

@lesstenny Donated 1600 books to Friends of Lexington (KY) Library. Most libraries won’t accept books except to sell for 50 cents. Friends sells them at their store or online and gives the money to the library. Given furniture to young family that can use it

Black-capped Chickadees, Tufted Titmice, White-breasted Nuthatches visit the Hand of Snacks. The Tuftie who bumps his/her head against my thumb and loses the snacks (at 1:45) does immediately come back for a refill.
