I wanted to control Codex from my phone. So I built it. Codex runs on your Mac. Your phone controls it. Anywhere. One QR scan to connect: Open source. 👉 github.com/tforschbach/Co…

@kevinrose Oh and here one bonus: 6. compaction in codex is magical. You can use one conversation for a week and it still works great and never forgets. I have no idea how they made this possible…

ok, here are mine. very different from yours. but we are here to learn from each other. thanks for sharing yours :) 1. Use codex most of the time (everytime a new generation models comes out i do split testing for a week and use them both in parallel for the same problem.) since november last year codex won every single time for me. (claude is more fun though) 2. i never use plan mode. instead i just go back and fourth with the model and discuss what I want to build. Only when I‘m sure that this is what I want I say „implement“ 3. use the mobile app or get a desk treadmill. My brain just works the best when I‘m walking. (since codex has no official mobile app yet, I built one for myself. It’s free and open source and I link it below) 4. Stop coding if you’re tired and make sure to get enough sleep. I code all day and it’s hard for me to stop. Especially at night. I always think „oh just one more tiny thing“. But it doesn’t make any sense. I stop reading the conversation and build stuff that causes issues all the time. 5. Don’t forget to ship. Building stuff is so much fun that I missed sharing what I built. I will record 2 demo videos of what I built today and will continue to do so in the coming weeks Happy building everyone!! Here my CodexRemote mobile app: x.com/tforschbach/st…

i'm sure we all have our little coding 'hacks,' here are my top 5, please share yours (or help me improve mine! 🙏): 1. Plan -> Deepen Plan -> Then let Codex review the plan, then hand it back to Claude Code 2. Let Co-Work read the plan and build you a PDF of the plan in plain english along with flowcharts (vs just "go to work!"), this is a great for overall logic agreement 3. If I'm unsure of a stack or an algorithm choice (e.g. best algo for clustering objects with vector embeddings), give it to the beast models and let them deep research it for 20 mins 4. If have something big to tackle, always quit and restart Claude Code 5. On big PRs, I always let CC, Codex, and @greptile view it (at the same time), never fails to find some P1s

Hi! Getting a lot of questions on Pro plan rate limits, so I wanted to clarify a few things: - Your Pro $100 plan includes at least 10x Plus usage, till May 31 with the 2X usage boost. - Your Pro $200 plan includes at least 20x Plus usage, till May 31 with the 2X usage boost. This is also the SAME usage this plan had since the 2x promo in February; we previously didn't document this explicitly. Now to address the confusion. Our pricing page says "5x or 20x usage", and many of you very understandably took it to mean "10x and 40x" given then 2X usage boost. That's our fault. We mixed up two things in a confusing way on that page - (1) sharing that the Pro $100 launched with a 2x boost, making it 10x Plus till May 31 and (2) sharing that Pro $200 retained its 2x boost and sharing for the first time that this equates to 20x Plus. We're going to update our pricing pages to make this clearer. Sorry it wasn't as clear as it should have in the first place.🫥

There seems to be some confusion on what ChatGPT plans give you, and what bonuses are active right now. I got you. ChatGPT Plus $20 = 1x NO ACTIVE BONUS ChatGPT Pro Lite $100 = 5x with a 2x Bonus (10x) ChatGPT Pro $200 = 20x with a 2x Bonus (40x) The bonus is ONLY for Pro plans. It includes BOTH $100 & $200 Tiers They both end May 31st. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. SIGNED AMW

@pranaveight @LLMJunky This doesn’t make sense… $200 Pro is advertised at 20x Plus, if there’s a 2x promo going on I’d think usage is thus 40x Plus. @thsottiaux can you help clarify what the 2x promo means if not twice the 20x Plus usage?

Our existing $200 Pro tier still remains our highest usage option. And as a thank you to our existing Pro users on the $200 tier, we’re extending our 2x Codex usage promo (until May 31st) and we’ve reset your Codex rate limits (yes, again).

We’re updating our ChatGPT Pro and Plus subscriptions to better support the growing use of Codex. We’re introducing a new $100/month Pro tier. This new tier offers 5x more Codex usage than Plus and is best for longer, high-effort Codex sessions. In ChatGPT, this new Pro tier still offers access to all Pro features, including the exclusive Pro model and unlimited access to Instant and Thinking models. To celebrate the launch, we’re increasing Codex usage for a limited time through May 31st so that Pro $100 subscribers get up to 10x usage of ChatGPT Plus on Codex to build your most ambitious ideas.
