@mattcchan organized and @jeremyahollis, Rachel & @thamiyav volunteered to prepare & teach lectures for Cancer Biology 100, a course for non-scientists to learn more about the research @fredhutch. Very proud that the Campbell lab was (by far) the lab with the most participation!

Next up, file under shenanigans: LOOK at the pumpkins the lab carved/engineered/sculpted for the annual @FredHutch contest. Took the 'most artistic' for the 3rd year running 🥇🎃🎡🍿 Congrats to the team & all participants!

I'm ecstatic to share with you (yes you!) the first part of my thesis work with Drs. @MelodyGCampbell and @HarmitMalik! In this we try to understand how large protein adaptations can be successful despite the massive risks they pose. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Jeremy has finished part of his (self-designed!) thesis project. He brought together the strengths of @HarmitMalik and my lab to unpack the intricacies of the integrin I domain through structural & evolutionary analysis. Read more on bioRxiv or in his delightful tweetorial below:

1/3*Unexpected Treatment for Ras cancers* Not only did we uncover the target of a new molecule via CRISPRi but also found that cancers with KRAS G13D and G12V mutations are more sensitive to it. The molecule is patented, licensed and in Phase 1 trials. doi.org/10.1038/s41587…

Getting this award from the Companigonj forum (the district of Bangladesh where I'm from) means a lot. I feel VERY honored & privileged to be the first girl enrolled for Ph.D. and to be able to set examples for younger girls from other villages to pursue higher education. 🥰🙏
