I want to give a genuine appreciation post to the @Abstractchain community team.
I don't think people realise how difficult their job actually is.
Being in a front-facing, CT-led role means you're on the front lines every single day.
You're the first person people come to when something goes wrong, the first who gets criticism and FUD, alongside the frustration.
Yet you have to show up and handle it with composure regardless of how you're feeling.
Most people won't last a week, and it takes a different level of grit and passion to wake up each morning knowing you're going to be the one absorbing any pressure that comes.
But the community team at Abstract shows up because they genuinely care about making Abstract a better place.
That kind of dedication just doesn't get enough recognition in the space.
To anyone working in a community-led role at any project, what you're doing isn't for the weak and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Since you guys keep QTing this post, I'll address some points here:
- We made slight adjustments to the XP given to top NFT collections (by onchain activity, volume, market cap). We updated the calculation for many of the longtail collections because we received many reports of people mass holding super cheap NFTs to farm large amounts of XP. NFT projects that are no longer active were diluting the rewards for active NFT builders - this is not the behavior we want.
- We will introduce a more dynamic system for NFT holdings designed to reward the most active collections starting next week. This system will adjust week by week and look at trading volume + onchain activity + overall ecosystem participation (ex. building interesting apps with your IP).
- For memecoin holdings, we were basing the XP given based off of inflated trading volume and price data. A lot of this was done to soften the blow from the steep price decreases seen throughout crypto since October. We have since updated our internal values to be up to date which resulted in a decrease in memecoin XP. Starting next week, we will ramp up the XP given to memecoin teams actively building their IP and growing their holder base.
- As communicated to our app builders previously, there will be an influx of XP given to teams creating onchain usecases, onboarding new users to Abstract, and building innovative mechanics. Several of these teams will be launching new apps and mechanics in the coming weeks.
- We originally didn't want to change the calculation for holdings too much, which is why I tweeted the below tweet 3 weeks ago. However, after doing a deep dive into the XP distributed to inactive projects as well as going through the reports our community had flagged to us about XP abuse, we had to make changes to better reward those that are still active onchain participants in the ecosystem.

Not a single day goes by without drama on Abstract
I’ve been around since Day 1. There are definitely things I don’t like, but there is so much more that I do: the ecosystem, the dApps, and the community are simply unmatched.
Let’s put things in perspective. Base stumbled with their flagship projects like Zora and Farcaster. Monad raised $400M and has yet to show us anything tangible. MegaETH secured 10x the funding but still looks worse than Abstract. Hell, even Solana was pronounced dead 3 years into its network launch.
So why does Abstract get so much FUD while everyone gives Monad a free pass?
It’s simple: people actually care. They fell in love with Abstract and desperately want to see it win. The reaction to the team’s mistakes and controversial decisions is a classic love/hate dynamic. The frustration is so loud only because the passion is so real.
Solana made its epic comeback because it had a die-hard community and founders who refused to give up. Abstract is in a very similar spot right now - arguably an even better one, given the massive amount of work shipped over the past year.
You want to see things like better liquidity. Do you honestly think the team isn’t thinking about it? If it were an easy fix, it would have been done already.
And let’s be real about Myriad: it is not an irreplaceable app. I’m highly confident we’ll see a native prediction market that’s just as good, if not better, very soon.
However this plays out, I’m here until the end. And deep down, I know you are too.

Remember when @AbstractChain was humming and Luca got too cocky on a podcast and gave entirely unrealistic TVL req’s for Abstract to TGE and also said he wouldn’t TGE if those TVL req’s aren’t hit. And then the chain immediately started dying and his plan of action wasn’t to get investors to inject liquidity to help the eco curl but to instead do a huge marketing push in Korean to promote a KPop group? Meanwhile gambling apps continued to molest the user base while abstract team bullposted the revenues? And then abstract team kept bullposting “abstract august” which resulted in nothing new happening except providing another example of abstract failing? And then Luca admits he failed by not helping defi apps build on abstract so incredible teams like Aborean (I love Aborean and feel horrible they have to suffer because of abstract) launched late and all our coins got deep liquidity incentives after they were already down 75% which just stabilized them and made any run up that much harder. And then Luca just decided to never talk about abstract and only occasionally post emojis when a new dumb partnership was announced? And then nothing good happened on the chain, until abstract started to lean into AI but Base had already had 2 ai cycles? And then an abstract employee pretended to launch/support an ai ticker only to later distance himself from it resulting in the chart getting nuked and every holder getting smoked? And then the incompetent team at abstract allowed amigo to launch with the dumbest bonding curve this space has ever seen so no one made money? And then Luca launched his key on amigo and instead of fully participating in the launch he just posted one tweet and hasn’t said anything since? And now abstract neckbeard dork mods are blaming us for where abstract is at? And now myriad is abandoning abstract because they realize there’s zero benefit to them sticking with abstract since abstract’s team has absolutely zero clue on how to onboard liquidity? Generational fumble and it’s Luca to blame

We have always taken a longterm approach to building Abstract.
There have been numerous opportunities over the last 2 years for us to take shortcuts and pump up vanity metrics to appease critics. It's actually much easier than you might think it is.
But we instead decided to build our ecosystem organically and work with teams that also want to build sustaining products that can achieve strong PMF. Most of the teams that came to quickly extract have either left or shut down at this point.
In an ideal world, teams would have their exact plans perfect on day one. But that has never happened in the history of product building. The best thing you can do is learn and adapt your actions based on the feedback and demand you get. So we'll continue to do that as we grow our products and ecosystem.
I'm incredibly excited for what's to come for Abstract.

All AGWs are getting a security boost today, leveraging Privy's new TEE-based infrastructure.
The upgrade will be automatic for all users - users that have 2FA will need to approve their 2FA to do the migration.
