Labour is boasting today that it has lifted the 2 child benefits cap. The big winners are foreign born households, the big losers are British taxpayers. 341k households, a third of those with 3 or more children, are foreign born. 191k of them came from just 10 countries. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Somalia are top of the list, with 125k families from those countries who will now benefit from a big increase in welfare handouts. This is a sick insult to British people.

It was seen as a female job so many men wouldn't go into it and head to more traditional male jobs. It's the same with nurses, when you picture a nurse what do they look like

What is the point of the state pension triple lock? At what level of state pension do you stop it? Without an end point it has no meaning, it is just mindless bribery. To anyone who argues in favour of the triple lock, I ask, what is your end game? When will it have done its job?

There are boomers sitting in large houses who don’t even want to free up equity or sell their house to help their own children get on the ladder. This is the level of selfishness we are dealing with. Thank god for parents like my mother She would sell her house in Tottenham tomorrow if it meant helping me…. And I would do anything to make her life comfortable- that’s what family is about. An eco system of giving. These days many boomers don’t want to help with grandchildren or finacial assistance and children don’t want to help their parents - so much selfishness between recent generations and it will get worse.
