@jordwalke I feel like it's somehow using a container query to translateZ the element, but I don't know how you'd make that smooth unless there are a ton of container queries 😅

@BenjiGameDev Seems like a maze guardian that opens and closes doors as it moves through the maze, like the Dampe race in Zelda OOT

@MaybeNotMonitor If we allow entire game series, The Zero Escape games for sure.
Commercial failure in Japan, but cult classic in US/UK since we were already primed with SAW.

Shout out to characters not popular in their origin countries, gotta be one of my favorite genders

🇯🇵 Japan Box Office Dec. 27 #Sonic3movie gets off to a dismal start in Japan with est. $180K on opening day . Aproxx $0.9M opening weekend incoming and a complete collapse thereafter as the franchise continues its downward spiral in Japan

@typedfemale The fact that most engineers are only involved in software engineering as a means of solving equations they would otherwise do by hand, and not as an integral part of their research, is so saddening.
English

@typedfemale I learned you could compute binary phase diagrams from enthalpy of mixing equations in my thermo class.
I then made a diagram generator and my prof was like "why spend all that time coding if you already had the concept?" as if programming was orthogonal to material science. 🤦♂️

@robinhouston AI to Zombies is mostly a collection of the sequences in an approachable order anyway, so I'd say skip reading them on LessWrong and listen to the audiobook!
I do highly recommend it! I haven't read the other book so I don't have a good idea on which to read first.

@theFoldster Some of them sporadically, but not all of them in order. Would you recommend it?

@ADHDForReal I don't plan, I merely obtain all the relevant data first so that my improvisation is well-informed.
English

@arithmoquine I've thought about this before. I feel like some entity that had feelers or swarms might not understand scale invariance, or even a rather large being that had parallel optics for their eyes.
English

spend a minute or two considering the fact that your visual processing doesn't have reflectional invariance by default, and noticing which invariances it does have

@kusonooyasumi Easiest change you can make: Bold important terms that the company is looking for. This is very hard to skim.
