Samsung has created a working prototype of 900-layer 3D NAND memory by joining two 450-layer stacks using a new technology called Cell Multi Bonding. This is a major step for the storage industry, as it could lead to SSDs with extremely large capacities, potentially reaching close to 1 petabyte on a single drive. Current high-end SSDs have much smaller capacities. The technology is mainly for AI servers and data centers Instead of one giant memory stack, Samsung combines multiple smaller stacks, improving manufacturing and reliability.

Character controller update. Made a little sandbox in @ProdeusGame level editor and exported as obj. Added a rope bridge and hovering platform. Landing impact is now applied to rigid bodies. Short hop and tall jump by holding down button added. #GameDev #IndieDev #Unity3d

It's your responsibility to bring the ideas and architectural design. I don't understand why people would even be writing games if they didn't have ideas of their own. Why would anybody want AI to write the game design or playtest the game (balancing, gameplay)? Isn't that the reason we are doing games? We love designing and playing them.

@sebify On what hw? I've been trying a local setup on my 7900xtx W11. I've tryed RooCode, and I'm on OpenCode now. qwen 3 coder, qwen 3.5, gemma4 moe and not, qwen3.6 moe. I still have to try qwen3.6 non moe. Moe works, but some is offloaded to CPU.

Found in a popular LLM agent instruction file: They basically ask the LLM to act like a game engine programmer: Keep it simple, no bloat, no extra abstractions, no future proofing, no defensive code. Maybe AI will take over the world after all. Average human written code in github breaks most of these rules.

🦔A researcher invented a fake eye condition called bixonimania, uploaded two obviously fraudulent papers about it to an academic server, and watched major AI systems present it as real medicine within weeks. The fake papers thanked Starfleet Academy, cited funding from the Professor Sideshow Bob Foundation and the University of Fellowship of the Ring, and stated mid-paper that the entire thing was made up. Google's Gemini told users it was caused by blue light. Perplexity cited its prevalence at one in 90,000 people. ChatGPT advised users whether their symptoms matched. The fake research was then cited in a peer-reviewed journal that only retracted it after Nature contacted the publisher. My Take The researcher made the papers as obviously fake as possible on purpose. The AI systems didn't catch it. Neither did the human researchers who cited it in real journals, which means people are feeding AI-generated references into their work without reading what they're actually citing. I've covered the FDA using AI for drug review, the NYC hospital CEO ready to replace radiologists, and ChatGPT Health launching this year. All of that is happening in the same environment where a condition funded by a Simpsons character and endorsed by the crew of the Enterprise was being presented as emerging medical consensus. The people making these deployment decisions seem to believe the pipeline from research to AI to patient is more supervised than it actually is. The craziest thing ever happened on YouTube. La7, an Italian television channel has used footage from Nvidia DLSS 5 Trailer and then sent a copyright strike to every YouTube video that supposedly used “their footage”, including Nvidia themselves. Nvidia’s own DLSS 5 announcement video has now been taken down by La7 as you can see here.
